  1. I will scream if you add new pointless ranks right after we just removed two.
  2. I don't see the problem, the patterns of "ca" and "ce" declining in different ways are perfectly normal and there is a pattern to it, go ask a philologist. It isn't an issue for native speakers for obvious reasons (you spend your whole life speaking it), and second-language learners figure it out by being taught the patterns that we ignore.
  3. WD Caviar Black edition is the way to go, the Raptors don't increase performance too much, if you want performance go for a 16GB SSD too and boot windows from it.
  4. From what I've seen in reviews the new 6870 is good in a cost benefit breakdown, close to 470 essentially in cost and performance, but overall a little weaker (but a litter cheaper, so give and take). My suggestion for going gold. A large case, specifically one built for a large radiator and space for WCing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139001&Tpk=corsair%20800D $260, expensive as hell but I have one and I don't see myself buying a new case for a decade, I plan to use watercooling next time I upgrade and the case has room and then some for it. i7-950 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115211&cm_re=i7_950-_-19-115-211-_-Product Same mobo, it's roomy enough for the space two cards need. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131665 4GB of RAM is plenty, it'll shave off $60 and you can buy another 2GB stick at your leisure. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145249&cm_re=corsair_dominator_ddr3_1600-_-20-145-249-_-Product Do you really need a 1.5TB HDD? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319&cm_re=7200_rpm_WD-_-22-136-319-_-Product 640GB HDD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007&cm_re=corsair_PSU-_-17-139-007-_-Product 1000W PSU, expensive, but most likely necessary if you factor in 2 GPUs and WCing. Your DVD drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204&cm_re=asus_dvd_burner-_-27-135-204-_-Product 2X Radeon 6870s http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102909&cm_re=6870-_-14-102-909-_-Product Current cost: $1655. Adding in waterblocks, radiator, reservoir and pump that'd be realistically $400-500 more. Kinda just wanted to see what'd it cost, still a bit high I suppose and well out of your proposed budget. Two aircooled videocards in one case is murder, they're loud, hot, and will make your room feel like sauna, hell one card ramped up under load with a stock cooler sucks these days. So if you're content with your build I'd suggest you go with it, minus the 470, the 6870 is comparable in quality currently and cheaper. If you plan on upgrading in the future, I'd suggest you buy everything I suggested (minus the second card), and save up for the second card and the WCing parts (Tinkerbell has more experience with watercooling than I do, so I defer to him).
  5. First, after having two of them fail on me in a short period of time I no longer buy Seagate. WD is the standard and is the same price. Second, with $1500 I honestly would encourage making a high quality long-term system. Think dual-cards, and if you're up for it, consider water-cooling. I've done everything I can to keep my system air-cooled and I'm still unhappy with the noise/heat.
  6. Sure, SSD aren't fully developed, but the BIOS issues of old aren't deal breakers anymore and they still read/write up to 10X the speed of HDDs. They're pricier, but the performance boost does outstrip cost if you're willing to take the hit. Also, same thing Tink said about i7 vs Phenom II x6. I'll throw something together tonight maybe.
  7. Talk to Itch, he works on a college university's network.
  8. The people have spoken.
  9. No, that bitch nearly killed him in the Habbo pool.
  10. Anyone who overtakes Red Tampon in number of posts should be permanently banned from the forums. Yay, or nay?
  11. Florida just ignores it when you skip, seeing as how we have 40% drop out rates anyways lol.
  12. Or at the very least, go somewhere other than Geek Squad.
  13. lol Anyways: http://www.stevelarkins.freeuk.com/computer_interference.htm Chances are your cable is "just right" in length, try simply moving around the cable, then bunch up the excess with a rubber band/zip tie and see if that breaks the signal, if this can't solve the problem the easy way, go to radioshack and buy some ferrite rings and stick them on your audio cables.
  14. Or why you just do it yourself.
  15. You should totally mount that spare deer head above your bed.
  16. http://www.notebookcheck.net/ Has ANY and ALL info on any type of laptop, mobile videocard benchmarks, and reviews.
  17. A moment of silence?
  18. Well I think I found your problem, that'll be $400.
  19. Just ask in a few months, price are subject to changes over that long a period of time.
  20. I demand a private Red Orchestra server so I can train inept drivers to dodge lightposts that leap out at them at 5 mph.
  21. Bring back the SG logo hoodie.
  22. Didn't they tell you spamming threads is no longer necessary since HG is gone?
  23. This explains why you didn't want me posting.
