Aircooling two cards in SLI is possible, they can handle the temps under load, it's just the overall ambient temp and noise level will suck. Hell, if I were doing this, I'd probably buy a $50 mini-fridge, drill some holes into it for tubing, insulate said tubing, and make a ghetto radiator cooler, just so I wouldn't sweat like a pig (and I could have frosty beverages within hand's reach.)
