Your desktop is 10x better just because of the lack of the shitty res background, even straight black is good. Delete all the text documents, pictures, and game shortcuts off of there and it'll look a lot better.

I've never really believed any of these guides to make your FPS better really made a difference for me. This guide though made my game feel 10x different using only one part of the whole thing, I highly suggest doing this. The part of the guide I did that really made my game feel better to play was the launch options one.
