  4. Seems like a very fun event possibly, I've been learning chess for a couple weeks now and I would love to have some fun against other people.

    I have a blue yeti right now, and it's been working really well for me. The only problem is that the input for the USB cord gets often bent easily: I've already had to replace it because the tip of the input just bent off completely. That's my only complaint really though, and it might just me acting stupid which is why the issue is occurring. Definitely not a bad microphone to buy if you're looking for a safe option.

  9. Exactly this. How are we going to expect players who rebel to stay on the server for multiple rounds at a time if we increase the round time? Those same T's are still just going to die in the first two minutes and sit spectating for another 5. Sitting in dead is already annoying enough for the rebellers as they have to watch the less capable T's just delay or not rebel and play deathgames. Sure, they can play like that, but it goes against the very objective of JB. Increasing round times would only cause for more abilities to delay rounds unintentionally as T's through "exploration" of a map.

  11. To be honest, I would just make it a queue instead of voting. Unless it could be implemented in a different way than what I am thinking right now, which would be the start of the round, voting would (or could possibly) take too much time away from the game. Unless there was a way to implement it so that the warden would be chosen exactly when the round starts, I don't think a voting process is viable. If anything, can't we just add a system like Warden Ban (like we have CT Bans) if it gets out of hand to that extent? Personally, I don't think it would reach that level of chaos, but I'm open to my mind being changed if new ideas are presented.
  12. Even after the rule I still don't see why it should prompt increasing round times. Our server isn't oriented for death games to that extent.
  13. I don't see why ratio lock isn't sufficient enough. CT queues would probably take a lot of work to code, and I'm not really sure that it would be worth it in the first place. The "I joined first no u switch" bullshit can be easily solved by just looking in the chat to see who joined the team first. I'm not sure if ratio lock is active at the moment (haven't it seen it take action if it is), but if it isn't then the ratio should be locked at like 1:2.5 (yes I said 1:2.5) for normal maps and 2:3 for maps like razor, revamp, vip, etc.
  14. Personally I heavily disagree that the round timer should be increased. If anything, I feel like it should be decreased to either four minutes or 4:30. Constant draws between non rebelling T's/delaying CT's happens often, and I'm sure that many others feel demotivated to play when they die in the first 30 seconds and have to sit out 4 minutes 10-15 rounds in a row. I'm not really sure why multiple death-games (wasn't it only for broken deathgames?) would want you to up the round time in the first place; the server isn't orientated around deathgames enough for that to be of use. It would only delay rounds more and demotivate the player base, especially T's to continue playing in long sessions.

  16. If the game didn't start, then the deathgame wasn't forced to begin with. The rule doesn't need to be changed; it could just bring further complications to death games in general. Also, if a death game isn't working as intended you might as well report the map bug so rules like this wouldn't need to be implemented in the first place.

  21. I mean if they're being sent to a death game, they should be more aware or atleast conscious of what is going on around them at the time. Sure it would be courteous of the CT to say "Hey, Im starting the death game" or something like that but I don't think it should be required. It just adds to the long, sometimes complex, and growing rulebook the server owns. Making CT's warn T's before a death game starts is like saying we should make CT's tell T's why they were warning shot. Yeah it's courteous, but shouldn't be needed; it's the T's fault not the CT's.

The only solutions I've thought of is to: A.) have one version of the map played count towards both maps being played on the map pool - prevents playing _go and then _revamp right after eachother B.) have those maps have an extended cooldown compared to other maps - maybe takes 1.5x more maps played after the map ends for the map to be played again I think idea B works better, as then other maps will be played more. The problem with idea A is that you could just play razer go, vip, razer revamp, other vip.

  25. With the latest addition of gangs, the imbalance between CT's and T's has become ever more apparent. While gangs is a great plugin and provides T's more to work for the top together, many people who play CT switch to T in order to achieve these gang points. On jailbreak now it is common to see 7 moderately new CT's fighting 30 well-experienced T's who often have countless days of playtime due to the popular gangs plugin. In response to this imbalance, I feel like there needs to be a CT ranking system equivalent to gangs. This ranking system would have the same properties as gangs; 10 members, 2 points per killing a T, 1 point lost per death, etc. While the usual response to this idea would be "This just gives CT's an incentive to freekill", I feel like at the current state of JB it wouldn't hurt to atleast test the idea. Abuse and point farming could just go under breaking rules, and freekilling is already against the rules. In my opinion an addition of a CT ranking system would revert the imbalance between the teams.
