Garfield I'm sure everyone appreciates the hard work you and all the admins, AO's BO's, CA's etc. are putting in to the community. Just from my view I think people were griping because changes were happening without any info on what was being changed and why, some of those gripes turned in to flames. Probably just a simple headsup would have quelled a lot of it. The Community has grown exponentially recently which is showing SG is doing something right.
