Decided to give the latest version of linux a try with Fedora 10 and run it as dual boot so I don't have to give up Windows, it's pretty nice if you like to do a lot of tinkering with it. Linux as a whole has a long ways to go still. Ubuntu is much easier to install Nvidia drivers with Envy (Application) and has better package management since it's based on debian code. Wine (Emulation Software) will run your windows apps For those new to linux, Ubuntu is the best way to go until you become more familiar with linux, also has a great community for support. Fedora has a more polished look and feel to it with pretty artwork. I'll upload some screenshots or maybe even a video tomorrow. Both distros are stable.

Hp Comps are good, the bad thing is they put a tons of crapware applications on it such as Wild Tangent with 30+ games which is known for adware, a lot of trial software and other things. I had to do a clean Vista install to get rid of it all, it literally caused all kinds of problems from slow booting, weird errors etc. The only HP I'd reccomend is the Blackbird 002.

Chrome will be really nice once the have Extensions support like Firefox, doubt I will change from Firefox as my main browser tho since 3.1 Beta 2 is as fast as the latest Chrome build.

I'm looking forward to Windows 7, Basically a well optimized version of Vista with some cool new features. For them to start with a fresh OS design would be pretty bad, zero application comparability for starters.

Just got the Evga 8600gt card early for xmas, this card is great. has a dedicated chip for Vista aero, offloads work from the cpu to the card for better os performance, has physics processing. Was going to get a 8800gt but got this as a gift. If your looking for a new card and don't have a lot of money newegg has it for 79 bucks with gdd3 memory. Fear Max settings except aa and faa Red Alert 3 High settings except water on medium, aa off Battle for middle earth 2 high settings Going to test bioshock next with dx10.

Man fire ants are the shit, I woke up one morning and went to check on my fishtank and I grab the fish food and got bitten, well that was not the half of it, my birds cage cover was just covered in a swarm of red ants, hundreds of them. Scared the shit out of me. Apparently since the cage cover was all black they thought it was a good place to nest. Not sure how they got in to the house.
