  4. Where is da queen I will try to be there my :brudda:s
  5. Congrats! I was right about one lmao... good enough
  6. Why should the wording be changed? It’s called admin rules so obviously it would apply to admins lol. Yeah, the rule should probably be stated under general server rules. It already exists as it literally states in our ban protocol you can punish people for admin impersonation in the SA section, but I have no idea why it is not found in those threads.
  7. I brought up the n-word thing to point out the similarities between the two to make it more obvious it is wrong. Everyone knows that you're not allowed to change the "i" for a "1". Yes, you didn't spell out the n-word. No, that does not make it acceptable. It's an attempt to skirt around the racism rule. Anyone with half a brain could recognize you were just trying to spell the n-word. No, you're not allowed to change the brackets in [sG] to paranthesis and put it in your name. Yes, you didn't write out the exact format of the tag. No, that does not make it acceptable. It's an attempt to skirt around the admin impersonation rule. Anyone with half a brain could recognize you were trying to wear the [sG] tag with slight modifications. New players could definitely be confused and look to you as an admin figure if you're (SG) instead of [sG] because they don't know any better.
  8. Farewell fellow gamer I forgive u for all the times u threw shade at TTT
  9. Farewell chief
  10. Doing this means you’re trying to loophole around the rules. You are acknowledging the tags are similar. Wearing these tags could easily cause confusion and lead to players thinking you’re an admin. No, it is not allowed. The fact you had to question it probably should tell you that it is wrong.
  11. Is typing the n-word with a “1” instead of an “i” acceptable since you technically didn’t spell it correctly?
  12. Going to have to hit this post with an abstain. In all seriousness, I felt like commenting on this because I am the "outsider looking in" (haven't touched SG jb but played other jb) and I guess my insight might be appreciated. I have 740 hours on a jailbreak server that regularly plays these "death-games" and I find it odd how the server seems to be very against them. I get the whole point that SG is a unique jailbreak where each day is controlled a lot more loosely. I'm more used to the traditional "warden controls the round" jailbreak. However, death-games aren't all that bad. The ones built into the map are usually designed to be fun and death-games created by CTs allow for creativity and overall enjoyment. The only death-games people complain about are like four couches and shit. Are you guys more worried of players getting bored of dying and having to wait for the next round? I believe you guys have 5 minute rounds and I'm used to 10 minute rounds and usually no one complained about having to wait. That might not be a fair point considering I'm practically comparing apples to oranges here, but just wanted to bring all that up.
  13. Happy birthday!

  14. Wouldn't necessarily be against an event that is limited to knives, just the idea needs some fine-tuning. First of all, I don't think everyone should have a gold knife. I think that would just be a little too chaotic. If we were to go with this only traitors should be the only ones allowed to buy gold knives because they're too outnumbered to realistically have a chance of winning. Would anyone be opposed to a knife and zeus event instead? Pretty much everyone could have a zeus that recharges and a knife in case it misses. It would essentially be a gold knife but less "guaranteed" of a kill so it might not be as chaotic as a gold knife event. The only issue I see with an idea like that is the detective already has a zeus, but I'm sure we could figure out a way to work around that.
  15. I mean, I couldn't really think of any reasons why a player communicating would need to hold down their mic for 10 seconds. Most callouts you only need like 2-3 seconds. 10 seconds is a lot of time to be holding down a mic. The issue isn't really admining cause most of the time you can't really constitute someone talking on their mic for 10+ seconds as micspam until it gets really out of hand. It just kinda hurts the communicating aspect of TTT when people are talking for too long while players try to give callouts. I do agree some admins are using silent rounds way too frequently. I’m going to try and discourage other admins from doing them. I was just interested to see if it could at least be tried out. Seemed like it would have more a positive impact on the server in my head, but I understand the opposition. If it had too many negative consequences then I'd understand it being removed, but it might be worth a shot to at least try it. If you could give some instances where a player would need to hold down their mic for an extended period of time I would possibly change my mind.
  16. I understand rulebreakers need to be punished @Gentoo and this could be seen as a lazy way to not do the job myself (which wasn’t my intention). Obviously admins should be enforcing these rules and I always do my best to take appropriate action against them. This was more meant to target the players not breaking the rules but still adding to the cancer. A lot of times players just tend to talk and hog up the mic more than they necessarily need to. It would be cool if we could impose this restriction on alive players only so there is more of an emphasis on communication and less of “let’s just use our mic a bunch constantly and ruin the round for everyone trying to communicate and play the game”. When enough players just start talking and talking for a good amount of time it makes communicating impossible. Not really trying to restrict anyone’s speech either. Who says you need to hold down your mic for 10 seconds to have a conversation with someone? I just don’t want people constantly holding down their mics which can drown out valuable information being called out. This wouldn’t solve the problem completely but hopefully it could contribute in some way.
  17. Problem with this is that people who want to make a callout might not be able to if other people are talking about random shit. It isn't like we have a rule that says voice chat can only be used for round related purposes. Traitors might also try to hog up mic usage so innocents/detectives couldn't call out KOS's and such.
  18. Yeah, I noticed a LOT of admins are starting to use silent rounds too often. I only use them when players are constantly screaming into their mics to the point where communicating is near impossible. Players who hold down their mic wasn't the only reason I had to make this thread. I think this plugin could do several things: 1) It could stop players from talking way too long in general. We've all had a time where we were using our mic and talked longer than we thought we were. People practically commentate their round and it can get really annoying. You don't need 10+ seconds to get your KOS's/suspicions/warnings/other communications out. 2) Like you mentioned, it would help prevent people from holding down their mic and were unaware they were doing so. 3) I rarely see this happen on TTT, but it could also possibly prevent people from micspamming with a soundboard to an extent. Any song/audio clip over 10 seconds would get cut off easily Yes, players could still get around it. Players with bad intentions could get around a lot without admin intervention. I made this suggestion more for dealing with the people who are unintentionally making voice chat cancer. If a player is actually taking the effort to count their 10 seconds, let go of their mic, and then continuing to micspam then I find that to be just sad lol. I have no coding experience and very little plugin knowledge, but I swear I've seen similar if not identical stuff like this on other servers. I could try to look up any existing plugins when I have the time. I'm fine if the AT feels like their are other priorities for the server, just wanted to put the suggestion out there.
  19. I think it would be helpful to have a plugin that automatically mutes players who hold their mics down for 10+ seconds. Once a player is muted, they have a 5 second mic cooldown before they're allowed to use mic again. Voice chat has been kinda been a little crazy recently whenever the server is full. I understand us admins can mute players, but when the server is really crowded it can be hard to distinguish people who are using their mics excessively from those who are actually playing the game. I also know we can do silent rounds but a lot of the time majority of players are talking about the round when voice chat is being overflowed and it doesn't feel justified to mute them too. Plus silent rounds give a huge advantage to traitors and the round pretty much just becomes boring because there are limited comms and traitors just run around killing people. Silent rounds simply aren't good TTT rounds. Neither of those options are avaliable when admins aren't on anyways. TTT heavily relies on communication and I think when voice chat is chaotic the quality of the round is also chaotic. Adding a feature like this would help fix voice chat being overflowed and make the rounds flow better. I'm sure there is a plugin out there already and this (hopefully) could easily be implemented.
  20. *gets set on fire* "/water" - @Creten
  21. TeamSpeak

I don't know about you guys, but I hate teamspeak. Props to you guys on listening to the opinion of the people and finding a middle ground where both sides are content.
  22. I forgot to take bias into account. Seems logical, I support.
  23. Isn’t one of the purposes of admin applications to help give advice/feedback to the player? If it wasn’t then we would just be writing support and reapply. Edit before you reply - yeah yeah I get that you have to wait once getting your advice. I just think the whole point of the system is to get your feedback, prove you’ve used it over X amount of weeks/months, then reapply. I see no harm in adding this but at the same time I wouldn’t justify it with that one reason.
  24. Grats! @Gator you look sexy in red
  25. Yeah, that would work. Anything to make it effective in what it's supposed to do and not allow people to screw with it.
