well actually I would like to know a bit more about Los angeles / california .. cuz miami is a kind of last resort backup Florida is nice but what I've recently heard not-so-good stuff about miami .. so maybe then west palm beach or fort lauderdale .. ?

Hey, just wondering if anyone's from california or miami ? I'm planning on coming to the US as an exchange student next year for the first semester .. Just wondering if anyone could recommend any good schools near or around LA / Miami ( or elsewhere nice and warm .. ) I'm planning of setting the whole thing up myself so no stupid exchange programs that I have to pay triple for and will end up in random places ( like a farm or an A-Social family ... ) Anyway .. I got to find a high school... so maybe name some few good schools ? Public or private - I don't know what the difference really is .. maybe explain what the main differences are ? I do know that Private is better but in which way ? Better teachers, better educational system or what ? Thanks ! Heard enough bad things about miami Im sure thats out .. but what about LA / Long beach / somewhere else nice and warm in California .. near a big city possibly ?
