i disabled my cores through msconfig to play the saboteur because there was a fix for amd cpus when you disable it to 1 core and when i try to restore it to quad it wont let me and only shows one core

good choice with ati id say a 4890 form the benchmarks ive seen before they are a great card for the price and for nvidia idk i guess the gts250 or what ever someone else suggests to you

yes definatly the 5750 is the lowest in the 5*** series but is also a great money saver and also runs dx11, search youtube for videos of people playing mw2 with a 5750 or find benchmarks on google.

agree with jager few things there is no 5890 as of now fastest in 400$ range is the 5870 i assume you meant fastest in its price range the faster of the new ati cards is 5970 nvidia's gtx3** series was delayed till q1 of 2010 ati aslo has had problems getting there cards made, something with pcb and the actual manufacturing company but its suffered a slight price increase and im not happy about it.

wrathek you CLEARLY know more about GPU's than i do... before i bought my computer i spent the like 8 months researching everything. this guy is insisting on spending like 2000+ on a computer so he has the money to go for the ati 5*** series and dx11

how many programs do you have running at while you play? try playing w/o them. hell try defraging your css folder it worked for gmod with me
