  1. i've broken my nose three times in bar fights
  2. I have been asked a few times if streaming is still allowed. This is going to be completely server-based, and you are expected to be up-to-date on all applicable rules for the server(s) you choose to play on. The managers of each server will come to a consensus about if streaming should be allowed or not. As you may have seen, TTT has outright banned streaming, and Scrim requires a one-round delay. The reason for it being outright banned on TTT is because someone can be watching the stream while simultaneously playing, and see traitor actions that happened moments before. If the streamer is a T, a player can now just wait (insert time here for the delay) and see who is a traitor. Scrim is so fast-paced typically that all you would reaaaaaally need is like 45 seconds in 95% of situations (in my opinion), but a full round is just being safe, to ensure that everything is completely fair. Additionally, I also believe prison break is following to ban streams (for similar reasons to TTT relating to people rebelling) - but, as said earlier, you will have to keep current on each server's applicable rules. The managers of each server come together to figure out what is best for the server. If you think that something should be done differently referencing allowing streams or not, you are free to take it up with the server managers. I'm not stepping on their toes with that, so if you come to me about that, I will just refer you to them or the appropriate forum section.
  3. Hello everyone, Unfortunately, our leniency regarding sharing twitch links has been taken to an extent that is considered overall harmful for the servers. While this mainly applies to Twitch, it also applies to any type of stream where you are broadcasting / have broadcasted, etc. (our tinychat is really the only camera / broadcasting thing that’s okay). If you have ever received permission to share your twitch link anywhere on forums, servers, TS, etc, it is officially revoked. Threads that have these links will be deleted as they are brought to the attention of staff. This is effective immediately, and ignorance is not an excuse. From now on, this will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. I am the only person (along with @Gator, in my extended absence) who can give permission for this. Not a CA, AT, admin, BD, or Jesus himself. If I think you’re going to be an asshat with it, or I just plain don’t know you, don’t expect to get it. It’s an extreme case-by-case where I’ll allow it if I’m confident you won’t disturb gameplay. People violating this, at any rank, will fall under ‘advertising’, and be handled as such. It’s unfortunate that our inch was turned into a mile, but now we have to protect server integrity. Do not try and skirt around this rule. If there are any questions, feel free to PM me - along with if you’d like permission to share your link. If it is still abused after this, then it will just be banned altogether. Admins - I’ll make a list of people who are allowed to do this in the SA section so you can see it. Thanks

  7. Gaymers, This is the most promotions / rank changes we have had in a long while, since the great step-down of 2018. So let's get started! To Community Advisor, we are going to be promoting LoverOfGuys Fuze and Montag! Both have been around for a very long time, and have expressed interest in climbing the ranks here at SG. Their new duties are: Onwards and upwards, to the role of Events Manager, we are promoting Extr3m3! He's done a considerable amount here since he's been back, and has done a lot of work for this community. His duties will remain the same, with the addition of managing the Events team. To Administrative Manager, we are promoting Dominic! Other than his short time on that goo goo ga ga baby bullshit, he has been on the Administrative Team for a long time, and has done a lot for SG as a whole, especially Prison Break. His duties will remain the same, with the addition of managing the Administrative Team. As you can see, these promotions are going up and up the ladder! Joining the Board of Directors, we have WaWa! Wawa was a BD previously before real life stepped in and got in the way, and he has been a higher up in general here for a very long time. We are happy to have him back, as we could definitely use his help in BD matters. Before moving on to the final promotion, I'd like to recognize @Prez for all of his work as VP. We have had countless hours of conversation discussing SG matters and figuring out how we could best move the community forward. He has been a huge part of all these positive changes you have seen at SG during his time as VP. It has truly been smooth-sailing while he has been my right-hand. Unfortunately, he is stepping down to some real life stuff, which he will go into detail I'm sure, in a thread following shortly. Thankfully, he will be sticking around as a Technical Administrator, and we are glad to keep him on board in some capacity. I will also be giving him the Presidential Award as a small token of 'thanks' for everything he has done here. Congratulations to all of these people on their promotions, and thank you to Prez for all of the hard work you have done at SG.
  8. Hey guys, Sorry this is lagging behind a little bit, but we decided our SotM winner a week or two ago. In addition to the general staff of the month, they are also receiving the Presidential Award, which can only be given out by the President or Vice-President. Nishok has easily earned this award ten times over, and then some. During a recent security threat, Nishok went above and beyond to ensure that SG was safe, as well as everyone's personal information. In addition to that, Nishok has been around forever, and we were actually BD's together at one point. Nishok is arguably one of the most dedicated members of SG I have personally ever seen, and the amount of work that he has done on both the front of the house and the back of the house is beyond words. Nishok is part of a group of very, very few people that could easily have a BD position anytime they wanted, just because of the complete and total trust that he has from all of us. Congrats brother!
  9. thank you everyone who worked hard on the new forums
  10. wasnt i the one who gave you admin back?
  11. for $600 they better i didn’t get that old school boot style tho
  12. just copped two pairs ayeeeeee
  13. no one cares about gender neutral terms. Rejected.
  14. I believe we actually plan on doing this shortly, but it's been forgotten about with the new forum changes coming SOON
  15. or we could just demote all female admins and not have to change the wording all in favor
  16. I just wanted to briefly touch on something I referenced earlier above about people that I have looked out for. Once again - not saying that it gives me the right to do or say whatever I want just because I vouched for someone, but why would I try and burn people I'm looking out for / vouching for? Obviously it typically means that I think there is potential in said person for whatever the specific position is. Gumline was additionally one that myself (and I believe Delirium...but I could be wrong) vouched for to get admin. Even when Gumline left, I commended him on his job as an admin, and wished him well. Upon his return and recent ban for the Warden situation, I actually made a thread in the IA section referencing his ban and I felt it was dumb. I don't typically post things in the higher up sections or walk around going 'heh, yeah I got Gumline unbanned', but this whole general 'Caution is a big bully and is out to get us' thing needs to get fact-checked. This thread here was the one I made, arguing against his ban. I searched for the rule that barred him from declaring himself as warden, and I could not find it. After talking with Dominic and him showing me where it actually is a rule, I admitted I was incorrect - but still argued that a perm was too much (tbh I still think that rule isn't needed...but not my call). A few days later, I get reports that he's poking people in TeamSpeak and generally trolling. Okay - not really against the rules, meh. Then I get stuff like this from multiple different people, advertising another community. It wasn't a joke, it wasn't memeing - it was him legitimately advertising for the same community that he talked shit about in a TeamSpeak channel to me a month ago. I don't give a shit about that community, I don't give a shit if you want to go play over there, etc. If you support those actions - then hey, more power to you. My focus is on SG, and SG alone. Anything remotely construed as advertisement or trolling on behalf of another community will not be taken lightly. Honestly, even if he had no bans, there's a decent chance he would have ended up with a perm. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, I just wanted all of you to be fully in the loop as far as this goes. It is what it is.
  17. Hello everyone, We have a few promotions today! To the Administrative Team, we are promoting Extreme Potatoes and Manny! They have been around for awhile and shown their dedication, and we are looking forward to the work they will do on our new Moonbase Alpha server. Their roles are: Verify that servers are operational Reboot dead/lagged servers Assist in training new admins Monitor the Teamspeak 3 server Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3 Search for new maps for all servers Upload maps to the servers and fast downloads site Edit map lists & rotations Issue permanent bans to players via request from SA's To the Media Manager rank, we are promoting Roux! Roux is a French-Canadian wine-sipping communist dick suck, so it is not surprising he is good at drawing pretty pictures. Nonetheless, he has been around awhile, and we look forward to his future accomplishments. His responsibilities will remain relatively the same, while taking on the role of managing his team. Round of applause for all!
  18. anyone else start cutting for the summer? i just jumped back on keto the other day, got up to about 206 during the winter (wasn't really trying to do much of anything tbh, i was out of the workout-game for a few months). I think now I'm going to drop to 185 minimum, and pooooooosibly lower, but we'll see
  19. This is very clearly a rule, and based upon the evidence given: https://gyazo.com/7a34403d77d657b4324c902c72321029 https://gyazo.com/d3de721e9db969929dfe9f657ca7d384 It is obvious that a warning was issued multiple times. We have, however, decided to revert Gumline's perm to a day ban (now expired). While there is merit for punishment, it seems silly to get a perm over this. Yes, there was history, but we discussed that it was a long time ago, and he served as an admin honorably and without any issues whatsoever - therefore, the next ban will be a perm.
  20. I loved having it. The only negative about it imo was you can’t move your modem around without having them come out and set up a new point (at least for me anyways). As far as ping goes - not really. It may lower your ping, but not by much, if any. Installing FO doesnt change the round trip time really: what would is if we moved the server location closer. My ping changed by virtually nothing when i went to FO. I’ve been playing SG for over ten years now and have consistently always had a ping of around 100. It is what it is.
  21. VB going away soon, so most VB requests will be auto rejected
