The 1090T beats out some lower end i7's but not in terms of gaming performance. I think Trai meant the 932 (you get the window/painted interior/Bigger fan). Get a Corsair TX, they're reliable and not to expensive.

Everything I had was about $968 Canadian before taxes, meaning it'll be a hella lot cheaper in the US. You can swap the Phenom for a i5-750 with any p55 mobo for about the same price. As for the GPU, you can spend $250 for a 6870, which comes close to the 5870 after some overclocking. If not a GTX 460 can easily overclock to the 6870 and maybe better. If you can find a sale get the MSI GTX 460 Hawk, I would've gotten that card but it came out a month after I bought my cyclone, although the cyclone is badass. I run 1920 X 1080 maxed BC2 with 4xAA @ 45-80 fps (stock to overclocked) and it doesn't go above 55 degrees.

I HAS THIS WUN. Fucking awesome. Cable management is pretty good. LOTSA room. Lights are purty (adding a 200 mm red led side fan this xmas), moves lots of air. The only thigns that make me sad face are that the inside of the case is unpainted and there is no side window, but being as there is no window, the paint doesn't even matter, derp.

Dual 580's in sli can play metro 2033 maxed on 2560 x 1600 with 30+ fps. That's beast mode.

Yeah potshots build is what I told Ronen to build, since his budget is $1500 as well. I'd spend $150 on a Corsair HX750w since it's modular, that way you dont have 30 extra wires sitting in your case. Other than that, you could get a cheaper case depending on what you like/if you are overclocking or not.

Well if you have no budget concerns and want the best for your money, for the future, I'll post a build I wish I could do if I had $1500.

I don't think she is going to need/want to crossfire/sli her cards. The 6870 can barely overclock (under 10% performance boost) while the 6850 can overclock and almost catch the 6870 (I believe the reviews I read showed a 75 mhz difference). Then again this probably doesn't matter because she probably won't overclock. Kiwi makes a good point though, if the max resolution is so low, why pay for a gfx card that is stunted by that in the first place? The 6870 is meant from 1920 X 1080 resolutions to get it's full performance. Of course you don't buy your card based on resolution, but it's still an important factor considering shes only running 1280 X 1024. Also, AA isn't in that benchmark pic, and honestly I've played with no aa and the difference is astounding. Probably a better ballpark estimate of what she could get. In all honesty (I am no tech wizard at all, seriously) I'd suggest getting a GTX460, you can buy overclocked editions that make it better than the 6850 and it will kill Bc2 in 1280x1024. But american's pricing is different from Canada's, so the best deal is finding a cheap 6870 combo with one of your other parts.

If you don't wanna spend your max ammount of 1500, then add a GTS 450/Radeon 5770 or a 460 on sale to my build which will put it under 1k. Potshot has an excellent build but if your playing on 1280/1024, any card higher than the ones I suggested is probably overkill.

Those Doms might not fit with the hyper 212, I told you this yesterday -_- There's really cheap OCZ 6gb 1600 mhz ddr3 ram thats for i7's.

Gpu is interchangable like I told you in steam. I'd say wait for the 6900 series to see major price drops and then get crossfired 5870's. Don't waste 50$ extra on a sniper, save and go with a scout or the haf cases. Or even antec 900/300/df-35 Hyper 212 is baller.
