The first book is sort of fast pace, but the second and third book get really drawn out. It feels really long, but it still keeps you interested. I like the series, but there are times when you will be like WHY IS THE PLOT SO SLOW!!! BUT I HAVE TO KEEP ON READING!!!

If you have ever seen the LOTR movies, you should read The Hobbit. You'll learn that Bilbo is a badass and Gandalf is kind of a dick
