Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'm going to pull the pin and get this, then perhaps upgrade the graphics card. Pretty much anything is better than the ancient rig I have now.

Says it has wireless built in for me to connect to my network. I've just been looking for a cheap new PC and this might be it.

You actually unlock any iPhone to work on T-mo, you just have to pay a place that does it, I had a 3G for awhile on T-Mobile. It's not banded for T-Mo's 3g though, so you're stuck with EDGE. Not that it matters, T-Mobile's 3G is pretty non-existent.

That's NOT reasonable when Sprint has unlimited everything for $99. Sprint offers the everything data which is unlimited everything except minutes, you get 900 of those for about $90, or 450 mins for $70. Plus despite what the maps show, I've never seen anyone happy with at&t coverage anywhere in Minnesota, even in downtown Minneapolis it's VERY hit or miss. Even T-Mo is better.

If you're on Sprint, you'll HATE at&t. They cost twice as much and have half the coverage. GSM seems to = fail in this country.

Right now, I'd say G1. the on screen keyboard isn't nearly good enough. A LOT of mistypes vs using an iPhone. Perhaps once Donut is released it will be improved, but for now, G1 is the way to go. Sad;y T-Mo's 3g network is mostly fail, can't wait to offload mine and grab a Pre. :-)
