Ok do what Wrathek did but do this uninstall gfx drivers REMOVE GFX CARD restart it will use the default onboard on if there is one then do thre rest and if the onboard one works its most likely just fried.

Avast free version, it's kept me going for over a year, good control panel, you can let things through like cracks because they usually pick up a threat and auto-block on Norton and McAfee.
