  5. You obviously didn't read my entire post. Hell you didn't even read everything that was in red.
  6. I know some of you are going to hate to hear this, probably bitch and disagree but I want you to do your own research and look at the facts before you claim anything. A competitive reg server with league maps and a regular setup is not going to survive in this community without a custom map server and the SGSL. I used to think if we put up a reg server and tried to bring back the SGSL everything would populate but now I realize we need a player base before the SGSL can even be considered. A player base is not going to come from a competitive server right away from the simple fact that most people who play in those servers are not ones to stick around a community like this normally. Yes, that is correct, I said it will not survive without a custom map server and I can back that up. I want you to spend some time looking at the top reg servers these days but I will give you one example: This is a server that has players on it 24 hours a day and most of those hours with 40+. Current Map Rotation de_losttemple de_vertigo_css_day cs_office_unlimited_oc de_villa de_cpl_fire de_bluecorridor de_contra_cal de_desert_atrocity_v3 de_nightfever de_beroth_beta de_piranesi cs_italy_tactik2 de_cpl_mills de_dust2_unlimited As you can see almost every single map on here is a "custom" map. Piranesi is the only completely stock map. Fire, contra and mill are current and previous competitive maps and they have a custom dust2, italy and office. Losttemple, vertigo, villa, bluecorridor, desert, nightfever and beroth are completely custom maps. As with almost every hugely popular server, awps are disabled. Here is my explanation: There are two types of reg players these days. Those that love competition and and want normality from their reg servers. These are the people that play on 24/7 one to three map servers. The second type are the people like myself who may or may not be competitive but love a little variety and get bored of playing maps like dust2 and season all the time. We have tried to no end and continually failed to attract the first group I mentioned. Personally I would love to see a custom map server of about 40 slots and 8 maps. I would try 5 "regular" maps (mill, contra, etc. included) and 3 custom maps with maps being rotated every month. I am always up and down what to do with the money but I have always liked the idea of having 16k but after the first couple "pistol" rounds. I don't really like warmup timers either. I like to have short map times (around 15-20 minutes each) to keep the variety going. It almost has to have an auto team balance mod. I know that people hate getting switched teams but from my experience people hate getting rolled for an entire map even more. It wouldn't hurt to have a 24/32 slot 24/7 server with awps along side it. Before you say anything, I know that the current reg server setup contradicts almost everything I just posted but I just went with what everyone "seemed" to want here because the last time I veered from that it was more bitching than I could handle. Here is our current server setup: 24 slots Map time limit is 15 Friendly fire is off Start money is 800 I basically took off all the mods except stats and quake sounds. I also set quake sounds to be off by default to new players. You can change it but typing "!settings". The map rotation is a little complicated but here is how it works. Some maps are limited by how many players are in the server and will not show up until the required amount is met. The map rotation is setup to pick a random map but not chose the last 3 played. The main 4 maps are dust2, season, mill and nuke. I also gave those maps more weight so they should be picked more often at random than the other maps. Rotation with de_dust2 de_season de_nuke de_cpl_mill Rotation with 12+ players de_dust2 de_season de_nuke de_cpl_mill de_cpl_fire de_inferno de_contra de_tuscan Rotation with 16+ players de_dust2 de_season de_nuke de_cpl_mill de_cpl_fire de_inferno de_contra de_tuscan de_cpl_strike de_scorch de_train I have done very little to populate the server lately because I have a lot on my plate right now and until the end of this week. When I have been on I just wanted to wind down and play. Again, I know most of you want to disagree with this and I completely understand because I used to be the same way but I urge you to look around and see what is really popular these days and take into consideration everything that I have said. I put a lot of time into this and I have a lot of experience with reg servers and play reg the majority of the time. P.S. - I appreciate that you recognize this community could greatly benefit from having reg.
  7. Monitor Broken

Who uses VGA anymore? Try another cable.
  8. Thanks but I'm not even on potshots level or some others for that matter.

I forgot what phone you have, but they do cover water damage. However you will have to pay a deductible of probably around $25-$100 (It's $100 for my EVO but that's a high end phone).

  11. It's ~$7 a month to play ESEA. Get real.
  12. Honestly you have no idea what you are talking about. It is a scrim server that is used for PUGs by SG members many times each day. Generally when people don't know the password they look in the scrim forum where it is listed. First of all, no one uses CAL configs or ACS anymore. SxE was never really a good client because it's bloated. This server is here for SG Members who wish to play a semi competitive game. If the SGSL starts back up it will be for SG Members.
  13. I would join, but I don't like drafting before all of the preseason games are over.
  14. Let me google that for you
  15. Not really, cause you'd be gone after the first couple. lol j/k j/k ..but seriously, you would be I'm just joking. but seriously..
  16. lol Still a child?

    Yeah, you're still a child.

  17. BSOD

Still jumping the gun I see, tweezy. It is not necessarily a hardware issue. Do you have any of the AMD power management installed? If so, uninstall it. I would suggest replacing the processor and chipset drivers and possibly resetting the CMOS. I could only find drivers for Vista so I assume this system shipped with Vista, if you have Windows 7 the motherboard drivers will come from windows update and you will need to uninstall the drivers first. You will have to do this for the processor drivers anyway so let me know if you need help with this or resetting the CMOS. Vista Motherboard Chipset Driver

  23. Basically what hackerz said. You will most likely need to open the puppy up and remove the BIOS/CMOS Battery. If you can get the model I'm sure we could find a guide to make it easier.
