  1. ok i will take out one thing that might be doing it, i have the map change airspeed if it can, and ill also remove those doors cromyth had an issue with. i would assume maybe its calling to the server to change airspeed and may be lagging it.
  2. Make a shooter than fires wrenches! there is a model for it. and when it fires like once a minute or something have it yell "if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!":biggrin:
  3. people usually use the terrorist bomb as the ball, what i would do is make a basketball, parent it to the bomb and have them overlap, and that should do the trick, but im not 100% on that. it wont bounce, but thats ok.
  4. I like your idea of the ceiling armory, but maybe you could spice it up a bit and make it hanging from some cool looking structure. One thing to do is grab a pen and paper and layout a basic look to your map from an overhead view. I do that b4 i start mapping so i have a general idea of what i want and where i want it. And stay away from the razor look, actual prison seems cool, but usually doesn't translate well to a video game, u still want wide open spaces, small corridors suck because of blocking, so try and be smart about that. Its also easier to keep an eye on people with semi open areas. Thats my gripe with lego_jail is that it feels so cramped.

  7. just taking a quick look at your screen shots the one thing that stands out to me is the lack of original texturing. Spice it up a bit, everything is gray and dingy looking make it look nicer, i know your in the beginning but really good maps have really good texturing. When i learned mapping i decompiled a bunch of maps i loved and looked at the geometry that they created to texture walls to make them more eye popping. That new version of razor is an example. Although that map is completely T sided and broken the textures make all that not matter in a way. As for areas that need work, dont just make the pool a huge body of water, put cubemaps on the water and use a good water texture, avoid any of the dx7 waters they look like crap. Put things in the pool area, like a locker room, showers, sauna, jacuzzi, etc etc. That way the CTs can give specific orders. Finally dont fill your map with a million teleporters. and dont make it ez mode to get into the armory. Nothing i hate more than T sided maps. Make secrets hard to find/get/do and possibly life threatening.
  8. the combo is my birthday. As for the doors, ive been talking to my testers and they nor i can get the game to crash using those doors. I wonder what the deal is with yours... Since you have found some secrets, i will ask you have you seen any missing textures? I was told some were off by one person, not sure why but i want to know if anyone else found missing textures.
  9. I can take them out probably, i put them in as to make CTs have to get off their lazy butts and do something. As for teleports, i have a total of 4 techinically but two just bring you back to the front of surf. 1 to a super secret place and another thats hard to find and you must do something to activate it then u have to do something hard to get to it. I would not say it is T sided, but there are guns in places, but you have to risk your life for them if they are more than pathetic handguns.

Looking to make it official and have it put on the server for all to enjoy. I tried to create a well balanced map that will allow Ts to rebel if CTs are not watching them. And CTs to give multiple fun places to go while not having a MILLION secrets like razor but the secrets on the map are imo harder to get to/do/find. I would like them to be on the map file but since the css update all the programs like winbspzip, pakrat, etc do not work so i cant just add the files to the bsp anymore, and if i manually add each file thats probably 1000 lines of code to type, which i dont want to do. =/ Im hoping that im just using them wrong, but im not sure.

  13. Did you also have texture issues when playing it and did you move the materials and sound files to the correct places? The read me!.txt file in the zip tells you where to put everything. I will edit this later to show people the updated screenshots. :confused1: Also i need to talk with a mapper in the community; i was told to get in touch with paul?   14. exacto did you place the textures and sounds in the correct places? I had 4 other people put them in the right spots and none of them had any texture problems. Let me know.
  15. So I finally got around to fixing all the bugs and also added some fun stuff.   16. I would like to see new CT models like those police gaurds, and maybe the orange jumpsuit terrorist. Voteban and kick, and maybe votemute? would be SUPER. too many times have i come in late night to have a freekiller running amok and no admin to help for a long while.
  17. i like seeing u all say this is autokill, but i have been slayed so many times for killing people because teleport use, vent use, catwalk use, and disobeying staying in your cells. I voted no though because most times no orders are given b4 ur out and opened cells, its not hard to even fake who was the one who opened, i have seen CTs freekill 1st or 2nd cell patrons cuz i open cells and jump inside the 1st or 2nd b4 CTs are fully out then the CT comes over and shoots the wrong person in the face. lets be honest the fun of pb is rebellion. Ts have no primary weps to start, (usually), and its pretty ez to pick out the people with handguns. where CTs can rain death down from the start. If your so scared of rebellion use your mic first then if they dont listen warning shot, still dont listen? cap em. Give them a chance to rebel though. I hate rounds that hit 0:00 because noone rebels, even when im CT, rebel, kill people, have fun. If you get shot trying to rebel do it better next round. What i really really hate is when an admin is not using headphones and or is listening to music then slays me because i killed them when they didnt listen to an order i gave. If your an admin get your freaking headphones on, pb is not a mod that u can go soundless.
  18. Well i tested the map since the release and a bunch of bugs now exist. Mostly texture issues along with reflections on water and props. i will have to edit a bunch of things before i upload it again, but that wont be too long.

  20. I was wondering if i sent someone the map files if this could be put on the server, after some time i got back into css and forgot about this map after only shadow had posted. I can also put the map back up for redownload if people are interested.
  21. Thank you Shadow! The pool has been some trouble of mine, I did not like the how it didnt have a shallow end when i put it in. I will have to fix that. My whole idea for this map was balance and fun. Dont want cells to be loaded with guns and i also dont want CTs to all have awps. Anymore suggestions from people would be great and very much appreciated!
  22. Lots of secret areas and codes and fun. All in all there are technically 6 areas, but the field has soccer, gun toss, box climb, and a maze. So there is a bunch to do.
  23. Hey guys. Ive been working a new map for some time. Looking to see if you some of you could play around with it. Tell me what you like/hate/think i should fix.
