also gero since u just started using a different account make sure u have your rates setup right...for a 66 tic server like sg's use this.....cl_updaterate 66 cl_cmdrate 66 rate 20000 type each one into console seperately. if u go to use a 100 tic server just change the 2 66's to 100's and 30000 instead of the 20k....but i use the 100 tic setup anyways. i know this helps me so maybe it will help u.

i tried adding a camera and not even that is showing on the grid

im trying to follow what they are doing here: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Basic_Construction to get a feel for the program but when i try to make a texture or put anything into the grid nothing appears.it just remains black. i see no lines no nothing and there is nothing invisible that i can click on.

Hey im trying to toy around with hammer editor but when i try to use the block tool nothing appears on the screen. Well nothing appears on the screen regardless of what i try to put on it? anyone know what might be wrong?

u ran the games thru compatibility mode on ur newer comp right? if u didnt u should try cuz i have never had a problem playing older games....not even with vista basic

i use a simple 13 dollar mic and it works fine without problem.....got it from walmart....only problem is i jacked up the cord so now one speaker doesnt work very well lol

well what i would do is i would clear my temporary internet folder and delete all cookies. i use 2 programs to clean my pc. i use windows defender and i use spybot:search and destroy. when used together i find about everything. with one of the programs if it cant delete the spyware or adware it will tell you how to do it. but wat u have is adware and i know its annoying cuz i got bugged out by it before lol only did it to me when i opened up internet explorer. so now i use firefox. but anywho search for those 2 programs and dl them and run em and u should be good

if you want a gaming computer u want a desktop really. good laptops for gaming we'll say about 900 dollars for a higher end laptop. for that price you could get a desktop with an i3 or i5 processor, a gig of video, and no less than 4-6 gigs of ram. but for a laptop depending on wat games he's playing i would prolly say find one with a 512mb vido card and a dual or even quad processor and ram is no biggy u can always upgrade the ram to whatever you want. usually u wont get more than 4 in a laptop. but it depends.
