You need a prop_physics_override I believe parented to a weapon. Then have a trigger with a filter to only register said prop_physics_override. Have the trigger set to onstarttouch and then have the outputs firing that you want when the weapon is dropped in. (Choose a tiny prop_physics override, and putting it high above the head is what usually works best, it's what he did. If you look at the ring you'll see there is a tiny prop ring inside the sprite. This is it's job)
