  1. Um, yes. You don't know what they're going to do with it. Are they likely to use it? Yes. But is that a guarantee? No. There are still people that take the pistols as T and then never do anything about it. I mean, I could go into numerous "What if" scenarios as well as to why you should ask them to drop it first. @michellec: all Ts aren't necessarily aware that they have a pistol, and just because they have it doesn't necessarily mean that the CTs are going to notice if shit's going down with other Ts. So we can't just start allowing it to be assumed that the T is going to be told to drop it anyways, and start allowing CTs to shoot first. At that point, we may as well allow CTs to just assume that Ts are going to rebel at any moment and just start shooting them for it at round start.

  6. First, if my above post came off as pissed in your direction, I apologize, that wasn't the intent. (At work so responding when I get brief moments). For the second half, in regards to response of me mentioning handicaps, I admit when I started this thread, it was completely incoherent, which I'm trying to fix at this point, but at this point my only concern is for the helmets. As @nick said, we had armor before, which is right, but I feel like the helmets add more for the CTs than necessary. I get what people like @MyHobos have said about the getting hit right away, but again, it's not every round that a T has an opportunity at a pistol before cells are open, and I feel like the being hit right away is something that could easily be solved by simply changing what you're doing. Instead of going out and opening cells right away, give a more precise order and do a gun check or something. tl;dr - I feel like with the helmet, and with some of the arguments for keeping the helmet, we're telling Ts they have to play even harder so that CTs don't have to.
  7. If you don't want to read my posts, then kindly stay out of the thread. I've pointed out the reasons, and yes they do come out negatively, but look at our server and tell me they're wrong. You really can't. Hell, you yourself said that it'll probably be never that we have a strong CT team, so again, why handicap them more for not being a strong team?

I'm not going to try and quote you while I'm on my phone, but as previously stated by Sean, there was a recent nerfing to the pistols, so I don't think they're still the one shot headshot kill people keep saying they are. But you also brought up a point I didn't think of, which is the knifing. Having the extra armor from the helmet only makes it harder for Ts that only have access to their knives. Everybody that's stated the helmets are to protect CTs from the cell with a USP in it act like someone's in that cell every round, which isn't always the case. And for all your points about having to warning shot for a secondary, that can come down to CTs needing to give better orders. That's why some CTs have people face their cells, so they can do a check. Constantly using the helmet as an argument for the one, maybe two Ts that had a pistol in their cell or a tele to get to one (which a lot of our vet CTs check that shit as they're giving orders) again comes down to it seems like we give a greater handicap for CT incompetence.

  10. The armor itself is fine (I could have cleared up the OP, but yea...), but the helmets are just ridiculous. Everyone that has posted in favor all basically say the same thing, that it's to help CTs. But Pyro put it perfectly that now even those Ts that are higher skilled still have to get off multiple well placed shots, all while not getting killed by a team full of armored guys, generally that have a gun that will kill an unarmored T within just a shot or two. Especially with CSGO nerfing pistols (per sean's post) it only makes the handicap even worse, because now the complaint that led to getting helmets has been nullified by a pistol that doesn't do the same damage it had done before.

  13. this is my point, and why I put it so negatively. Because that's exactly what this seems to be, because of the CTs that can't be bothered to learn how to play, they have a higher handicap.

  19. Hey @Nuclear Onion, look, a new PB thread. but seriously, the armor is way OP. Fucking clip of AK ammo into a CT, nothing. Death screen told me I did 120+ damage to the CT, and he still had 21 HP, and 97 Armor. The fuck kind of shit is that.

  24. @Bread Who could forget someone as fun as DANIEL.... (Ok, he's not quite KING worthy, but it's an attempt) It all starts with good old DANIEL, who clearly should have just been unbanned. Then we have sorgoon who just happened to get banned for using the name "Daniel" in our servers. If only we didn't have that "No 'Daniel'" rule... But my favorite piece of the story, is Goat and his buddy illegit (posting on behalf of Goat) trying to prove Goat's innocence, only to find out that Goat was just good old DANIEL up to his silly antics again.
