  1. Zero interest in the game. less than zero interest in the xbox version of anything.
  2. so packrat is refusing to work after the gmod update so I cant post the .bsp of the newest version. I sent Para the source files though and he is checking it out. here is the last version I was able to pack up if you still want to take a look. its still missing props but the lighting is better, the ammo is fixed and the brushes that were slightly off are fixed https://3llrxa.dm2302.livefilestore.com/y2pG8VeHTHn97EAMfhXa_sY5rmEBt7hwpjlyrwEhVomqv-_lzYZscli0Of0DGbKTaOvVoX-L4g3glToiw8BS-1vfe5RkayLZELnNBgxOWbaBIk/TTT_stalingrad_v2_beta1.bsp?download&psid=1 here is the map in its original pre-source form

  4. wrecking people with haggard.
  5. Wondering why I am posting this.
  6. no. people who want a map gone are just more vocal than those who are fine with a map. IDK if you noticed but many of the rejected removal requests have far more yes votes than no votes.

  9. EXACLTY this. And most of the time the games people praise for "story" don't even have good stories at all. They just have an incredible atmosphere, something people often mistake for depth of story. Half-Life 2 for instance has a rather generic and IMO unremarkable story, however, the game designers built such a compelling and complete world that you feel immersed in it.
  10. It depends. When I am wanting to play a game I don't care about story at all. That being said, I prefer no story to a bad story. Nothing ruins a game like a stupid plot. For me gameplay and atmosphere are way more important than story.
  11. Again, people didn't RTV, we had 20 people play the map all the way through.
  12. The updated version of this map has been arround for a while but It hasnt be put up yet. But as it is we didnt even come close to RTV and the server stayed with 20 people. If it isnt driving people away why get rid of it? Just replace it with the "fixed" version. Anyway since people vote for the next map anyway (and they voted for it) I dont think many people have a problem with it. We should get the new version up though. p.s. had a number of people comment on how they liked the map.
  13. 0.0 remind me to never let either of you shoot anything with heavy recoil. sounds dangerous.
  14. No because it would be EXTREMELY difficult to drive. I would rather own a car that I could actually enjoy driving myself. But damn if that car isn't fun to watch damn thing doesn't obey laws of physics.
  15. Nope I wouldn't actually want my favorite car. I have zero chance of being able drive an F2004 well enough to enjoy it.
  16. So devices that have headphone outs normally have small low quality fairly low output impedance amplifiers. Instead of using those you hook the device (ipod, cd player, blu-ray, turntable, ect) to this amp and use that to run the headphones. Needless to say that thing is quite a lot more powerful than the little amp found in an iPod.
  17. well its a whole lot cheaper than buying one of those things. http://www.audioadvisor.com/Woo-Audio-WA3-Single-Ended-OTL-Headphone-Amplifier/productinfo/WAWA3/#.Uw5iOmex59M that's essentially the same thing if you buy a retail one.
  18. got bored and decided to make a thread on do-it-yourself electronics. sorry about the bad quality. vacuum-tube headphone amp I wired up last summer. Sounds glorious, quiet as you can imagine but powerful enough to ruin most headphones. Looking to make an ultra low power FM transceiver next.
  19. quite informative.
