  1. Steam Community :: Screenshot We must bring it back...at all costs....for the gargoyles!!
  2. Wish I Had know this earlier, lol. Unless it was during the one year of the forum history that got lost, as I found nothing thru searching, so I was completley unaware :/ 1. A minimal playerlimit was implied, but perhaps I shouldave stated that. Even the stats plugin protect against that issue. 2. Depends on how you look at it. one bet per map/low credit betting. Doesnt sound like much of a gain. 3. same as #2. Even if your gaining credits, it would be within a reasonable amount, one that acts as a small gain (It wouldnt be on the level of "you have obtianed 1500 credits per map) "So no. It hasn't happened, it won't happen, and it will never happen" It hasn't happened, And your saying(as if we've done it already) that it will be fully abused, without knowing if it will or not. People hated the fact that the new store had AFK time, and said on the servers that people would just farm credits by being idle all day. It enever happened and they got over it. Sorry being rude here : Start it off on MG and just enable it one the maps that have Tripmines( only 2 that im aware of have them). I dont see the big issue of gaining like 20 more credits on two maps, as an example of what would actually be given per map due to multiple betters, over what i could normally gain by just playing... And thats assuming I win every bet I made.
  3. Expecting a system that cannot be abused is on par with expecting the impossible. The best you can do its prevent as much foul play/rigging and go from there. After all we have no idea if people will even notice/use the system, let alone abuse it. And it can always be removed if it gets abused to hell and back. --Perhaps even lower the max credits even more, restrict how many times you can bet per map, and/or do it via random chance of it being a betting round. Nothing you can really do about stacking or people throwing games. By this point the amount of preventiong put in place starts to make the whole system less interesting And any server that has team based matches (i.e. mg,ze,pb,dr) could have it
  4. Yea, ill agree setting a credit cap, say 200, to prevent people just farming credits, and setting a timelimit to bet by, say withing the first minute, to prevent betting against an obvious loss would help limit the chance of foul play by alot.
  5. Decided to wait untill the last "give player credits" suggestion became forgotton, before suggesting this. (Actually I cant seem to find it, lol). So basically its a betting/gambling system, in which you can toss some of your credits on the table, and bet for which team will win. When a team wins, the player/players who bet on the winning team will get the pool credits from the losing betters(either to the only winner, or distributed evenly if multiple winners) Ex. RedM00N: bet t 100 / Somerandomdude: bet ct 100. "Terrorists win!" Since I bet on Terrorists, I get to keep my credits, and take the 100 credits of the losing better. Not sure if this has been suggested in the past, as I dont see any threads suggesting this. Seen it work elsewhere, and I though it could be nice feature to add. Thoughts?
  6. And this is why i have a hard time trusting any external clients/programs aside from what I already use. Glad i was never a part of ESEA. Definitaly going to let the people I know who use ESEA about this. Looking forward to seeing some lawsuits against overheated rigs/privacy breaches. What consolation does ESEA offer players?
  7. Ive know about the CB, It uses a separate window, which i do not need more of, even with 3 monitors running. Plus the chat isnt constant. you have to click on chat to "enter", and only those people in the chat(which was at 0 on 4 rooms in our server when i checked) will see your messages(not sure if the rest get a notification or not. Just seems like too much work for the same effect, with reduced results. Tbh its sad, ive used vent since 2007, and ts since 2012, yet i know far far more about ts, and am more inline with it .
  8. I can undoubtedly hear the difference in quality, both on my good speaker setup and with my cheapest setup, reguardless of the users mic. Besides vent has this issue of voice cutting out midword, and starting mid-word. It did in 2007, it stlill does now. Never had the issue in TS. Tho that may be a user issue(talking too soon after pressing the talk key/nowing when to press the PTT, or better voice activtion detection. or maybe its just the program/codec itself)
  9. I'm in full support for this. Gonna give me a reason to actually join it. Would absolutely love to join in on a chat without needing a mic, which I usually don't use. Plus....custom avatars
  10. Unreal Engine 4

Very fine indeed. Can't wait for it to release. Just wishing the mobile version of the video had more quality :/
  11. Steam has just as many, if not as big, issues as all the other major platforms(origin/uplay). However steam has been around since 2003, and even longer if you cont Won, so it has plenty of experience in the field maintaining its service. That is, untill TF2 gets a major update and destroys the entire network, lol. I only use Steam because I just dont like the fact of having multiple programs installed to play a game. Plus, I already have 3 overlays (steam, OC-OSD/rtss, and fraps) to worry about, I dont need any more All but 1 of my platform reliant games are on steam, the other loner being AC3 on Uplay, and the rest being standalone/older gen games. Dont own any games that use origin, aside from the c3 mp demo so I cant say anything good nor bad about origin.
  12. If we had a plugin that prevented racism, then the admins would be loosing out on their daily ban nutrition. But seriously, not 1 server I know allows racism. So its their own ignorance for saying it in the first place.
  13. Cant check atm since the website refuses to load but Last I remember, they said they we're not releasing it. IMO they should keep it privte, for now at least. If they released it, it will just end up like cinema...every community will want to have it, and then they will end up running the mod causing all the servers to never be full and the gamemode to die out somewhat.
  14. Cant wait for this holiday. Already looking forward to getting all the games announced so far. And heres hoping the are still holding back the announcement for support for the 4k resoultion..... Now that I think of it, those specs might be beyond "pushing it" for gaming on 4k. Plus you would then have to buy a 4k tv, just like you did with the ps3/bluray. Oh well. Maaybe just media support only...
  15. That one seems fine to me. I do belive we have multiple fastdl locations. At least the one for ZE is different than the one for MG according to the console. The one MP linked seems to be fine(same as what ze runs on). Currently caps my net to 90% usage with one connection to the server. The one that MG uses, pulls about 30-50% usage on one connection to the server, which is showing signs of a throttle in my eyes. (Compared to 16 active connections to the server for downloading the file in "parts" pulling 99% usage) So it is, and it isnt running slow. Depends on what fastdl is being used by that server I guess.
  16. Knex or Lego?

Knex. Because of their mechanical potential/advanatge vs legos. Iv'e acutally built rather larger electric/gas r/c vehicles(cars, planes, and a failboat) using knex. If i used legos, the peices would have just broke apart easily. Plus Knex have a more strong/rigid/realistic structure system. Tho lego's are not that far behind. Ive even built a case for one of my pc's out of legos...
  17. Farming simulator 2013. That is all. Thanks for binging it back
  18. :help:

    I've been dragged here forcefully.

  19. Keep up the good work Spartan. Hopefully we can get back on track.
  20. SteamGamers had invented the only working time machine, proving time travel is possible. We then proceeded to going back in time to December 2011 before someone decided to destroy the maching and send us forward in time to 2013, causing the machine to blow up, and thus this was the result:
  21. Game still seems great as long as the gameplay can hold up to the franchises current status. P.S. People judging a game just by it's looks, a.k.a graphics, visuals, anim.s. rather than both looks AND game play when they first see it, and immediately hate the game without even giving it a chance makes me just furious. There is a term we use to call people like this, but I rather not say it here. This is why i never trust reviews anymore... I seriously wish the gaming community in general went back to judging games on a 50/50 looks/game play basis and not a 75/25 ratio or worse. Just an opinion in alot of peoples eyes, but it's almost a fact nowadays .
  22. From a kotaku post "Finally, according to Veiser, Valve may be planning a closed, invite-only beta test for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the coming months." I severly hope(if they do release a beta) its not a closed beta/invite only. Gonna seriously suck if it is...
