Trust me, there are PLENTY of fail cts (shadow killer). But here is what the thread is about: How to play as a ct. This originally started as how to give orders but now people are asking for this to be a ct document/guide.
PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG AND ADD ANYTHING THAT I MISSED.
HOW TO GIVE ORDERS
1. To give orders you need to either have a mic or use the chat box. You may give valid orders at any time during the round as long as you are alive.
2. Make sure that you have orders planned in your mind before the round starts or you'll have to make some quick orders on the spot.
3. Say/type your orders. (It is best if you repeat the orders at least once)
4. Make sure your teammates are ready before the cells are open to make prisoners suffer consequences if they disobey orders. (You and your teammates should be somewhere where they can kill rebelling prisoners)
5. Make sure that you know exactly what your orders mean to keep yourself from freekilling.
6. It is best if you say no detours no delays (no d/d), otherwise the prisoners will detour and delay all they want.
7. Make sure all your orders are in English.
8. If a prisoner is detouring or delaying, warn them. However, if they head into a completely different direction, the prisoner could be rebelling or confused as to where to go. It is then your choice to kill them or not.
9. If more then one order is given, the first one is valid. But if 2 cts are arguing over which order should be valid, you better come to a conclusion quick.
10. If you are giving any special orders (orders that only apply to one or a few prisoner(s)), make sure that you inform your team before doing so.
11. If there are prisoners talking over you so that you are unable to give orders, warn them to stop. If they continue shoot them and shoot them until they die or shut up.
IMPLYING THE ORDERS
Make sure that your team knows exactly what the prisoners should and shouldn't be doing according to the orders. When you are implying orders, it is best that you don't run into a highly prisoner populated area if you don't want to die.
Let's say the orders were to goto pool, no left side, be in the water, no d/d. If I had an M4 or AK, I would probably watch the left side or stay on the pool catwalks. If I had an awp, I would be a more defensive player, by staying back around big cage or the ct window to kill anyone who didn't die by the people with AKs and M4s and are trying to leave pool.
If you accidentally freekilled someone, it is best that you either give the prisoner a freeday next round or slay yourself. (For those who don't know how, press ~ and type kill) You do not have to slay yourself or give the prisoner a freeday if they were caught in crossfire.
WHAT TO DO DURING A MASSIVE REBELLION
In this situation, most people would be panicking. What I would do is start shooting like crazy if you have an offensive weapon. (Of course not at the people who are obeying) If you have a more defensive weapon, try to stay somewhere where the prisoners are most likely going to be, such as catwalks, vents, and armory. (DO NOT CAMP THESE PLACES IF YOU HAVE NO REASON TO)
The person with the mic should be continually repeating orders while the rest of the team tries to get the prisoners under control.
DEATHGAMES
The first rule is: YOU CANNOT FORCE ANYBODY TO PLAY A DEATHGAME OR DIE.
If you are going to conduct a deathgame, make sure that you know exactly how to conduct it. I am not going to go into microscopic details like what to do during each Simon says command.
For all prisoners: If you agree to the deathgame, EXPECT TO DIE. After all, it's called a deathgame.
HOW TO PLAY OFFENSIVELY/DEFENSIVELY AS CT
All offensive weapons include shotguns, and automatics. If you are carrying one of those weapons, you must play offensively unless you know how to play long range with rifles such as AK and M4.. To play offensively, you are the person that is supposed to get in close with the prisoners, to kill the rebellers. Be aware that you have higher chances of freekilling then those who are defensive. Also, it is best that you watch the teleporter exits. In case you die, the defensive awpers should have the advantage when it comes to long range.
All defensive weapons are sniper rifles or people who are good shots with a rifle at long range. If you are going to play defensively, you should stay far back away from the prisoners to kill those who are trying to leave the area they are supposed to be in, and those who killed an offensive ct.
GIVING A LAST REQUEST
Remember that you are not forced to give the prisoners and LR, but it does help end the round. Any LRs such as gun toss, shot for shot (s4s), knife fight (kf) may be turned down by a ct. If you choose to turn down an LR that a prisoner asks for, please let him pick a different one. Don't be a dick by turning down every LR just so that you can delay the round.
Again, please correct me if I'm wrong and add things that I forgot.
