  1. Just do things the traditional SteamGamers way. Get ingame, spray it on the wall, zombify anyone that gets distracted.
  2. I used to play the hell out of Planetside before SOE ruined it but Planetside 2 has been a piece of shit from the start. The progression is garbage, the class system breaks large scale strategy, balance even worse than the original, and gameplay is dysfunctional to the point of people popping in/out of visibility mere meters away and any meaningful strategy being nonexistent. Unless they completely reworked the entire game from the ground up sometime since launch I'd say put a bullet in it and let it die.

  4. Where the actual dick did you find a new CRT? and does it still have an actual sharp tube that's crisp in the corners? All of mine are ebay oldstock that you need to fiddle the focus pots to get the middle "good enough".

  5. If it's run by the same people that did the mod then it'll likely implode in short order, the developers were shitheads second only to Natural Selection and Sony. We're talking about people stupid enough not only to do a fileplanet-only release, not only to release a game so broken that one of the main classes couldn't even reload, but dumb enough to implement a feature that punished you for being anywhere near your own teammates.

I fell off the face of the earth starting early 2012 for two reasons: The first is an infuriating forum glitch that makes the site stop working in the current browser and stick on "Connecting/Loading" forever, and basically locks me off of Steamgamers for the rest of the day. The second is ongoing medical drama since early 2012. Oh yeah that reminds me, I think I've got the next one picked out already.

  10. 6 kills, mastery, top gun, sniper. I pretty much carried this match.
  11. Mastery batch, some marksmanship ribbons, and I was ONE KILL away from Top Gun when we capped out. And people say artillery is useless... fear the skies.
  12. Decided to see what the 122mm would be like with the new 8.6 sigma changes. Got put into a tier-5 match, stuck my nose up against a rock, and sidescraped almost an entire team to death. 14 shots fired, 13 penetrations, 1 splash. The answer is with 60+% of shots falling within the inner portion of your reticle it's freaking lulzy as all getout to fist someone for 200+ damage every 9 seconds. I'm going to start using this thing more often now that it's so accurate. Reaper, Ace, Steel Wall, Top Gun, and I put all of my tank crew at 100%. It took them every dead tank you see on here AND a derp-m4, KV-1, and Valentine to kill me. You can pry your victory from my cold dead hands.
  13. Upgrade your tracks and engines ASAP. The T1 is a beastly rammer for tier 5. As the quote goes: "60 pounds of American Steel propelled by 960 horsepower of Detroit Muscle".
  14. Also remember you've got that giant tumor growing out of the top of your head, so make sure to keep track of where your upper turrets are sticking out. You've got a decent rate of fire, keep a decent amount of HE on hand and know when to switch. Fire while peaking and retreat as soon as their turret starts turning towards you. I ground my way through the Lee using the daily 2x victory and then playing tanks I actually liked. The main thing to decide ahead of time is whether you want a T1 Heavy or an M4. The main attraction of the M4 is the Derp, whereas the T1 Heavy leads to unlocking the T29 with a decent turret already researched.
  15. In general if you're used to the EU or SEA playerbases you'll get beaten like a red headed stepchild on the NA server.
  16. 1000+ XP in a tier 3 spg, which has a -50% penalty working against it until 8.6 My lulziest match ever, thanks to the Valentine's ridiculous derpcannon. Almost all instakills, several fired in an arc over cover Yes, it's a defeat, but I made the sons of bitches pay for it. They had to send half their team to do it and I took 4 down with me.
  17. Don't upper tier tanks do upwards of 1,000 damage a shot though?
  18. What I've heard so far is ~25% worse aim time, dispersion, and reload times combined with reworked damage mechanics that nerf artillery further. Tiers 7 and up won't feel this too much since they actually have enough alpha and wide enough splash to do damage regardless but everyone below that, especially below tier 5 where you're very nearly completely splashless, is getting fucked. They're basically taking "Aim All Day, Miss Anyway" to a new extreme to satisfy the handful of unicums that whine about arty nonstop.
  19. There's an absurd nerf to arty coming with 8.6 though, so removing that XP penalty isn't going to help very much considering they're about to basically fuck everyone not already at the top tiers right out of the game.
  20. Nope, the XML files automatically detect what tank you're in and give you the appropriate crosshair. The arty crosshair even adjusts the shell travel time, maximum distance, angle, and lead indicators based on your tank and gun automatically.
  21. Your pictures are so small we can't see what's going on in them. Recent round of mine in the Valentine AT using the Derp. I one-shot every single tank I hit.

  24. Not as impressive as the rest of ya'll but it was low tier, I don't have premium... and I did it in artillery. In a random pub. The only guy in range that I didn't get or cripple was the speedy little bastard in an ELC AMX.
  25. DAR's artillery sight is pretty much mandatory for any artillery player. It includes shell travel time, speed calibrated shot-leading rings, gun angle, traverse limitsm and a range meter. The accurately named Camera Zoom mod does what it says on the tin, letting you zoom out pretty ridiculously far. It's really useful for getting an overhead view of the near area and ridiculously helpful in cities. The Accurate Damage Indicator is another simple but awesome mod that adds a precise pointer to your damage indicator that will move around to keep pointing in the right direction. And lastly the Scope Shadow Remover helps with your FPS and field of view while zoomed. Also now that I've gotten used to it Meltymaps Math Mod crosshair is amazing.
