To be honest any Android phone would be better. Samsung makes some really nice phones, but they are a bit pricy. On the other hand you can get a ZTE phone for a lot less. Depending on your carrier prices may vary so be sure to check yourself. Also, if you buy a phone from a carrier they usually give discounts for contracts, so you might be able to buy a Droid X for $100 if you get a two year contract.
