Personally wouldn't get a tattoo like that on myself. I have been thinking about getting some kanji on my forearm and a couple various tats on my shoulders and chest. 

 

Based on the photo and the lighting I can't 100% tell where the tattoo is? It looks like an inner thigh tattoo which just kind of feels like a weird place for that tattoo but your body dude.
