Hi, I.T, the computers not turning on again

Came back from 2 weeks away to;

 

Pc no power and case lights off but power over usb is actively working.

 

Changed wallplug and managed to boot yesterday.

 

Come to boot today and same problem but the socket change did nothing.

 

Still has power over usb

 

Tried shorting pins to boot and nothing.

 

 

Pls help!

which usb ports work, the ones directly connected to the motherboard or ones that are at the front of the case?

I have seen this happen before and it was a bad power supply.

Powersupply is like 2 years old brought new

Which PSU.  Had to replace my brothers and it was 1.5 years old.  Sometimes things happen, but if its not a power to your PC issue then its almost guaranteed to be a power supply issue.  The next level would be your motherboard died.  Of course, you could have a loose connection to your motherboard and that would be the easiest fix (make sure everything is plugged in tightly).

I feel like the fact there's still p.o.usb

Is a key sign but Google is shitter than ever.
