though, the avatar thing is completely waste, it's fucking retarded and i want xbox to make an option that makes your avatar either go fuck it self or go die in a fire. Thank you... and then there is more useless shit i havent checked out yet... BTW the new Menu and stuff... Looks old tbh. I liked the old one.

 

I heard it was bad, but I haven't checked it yet. It has more features that you would find with a PC, so if you use that stuff, good for you............ so I will probably be complaining once I get to it since I liked the original way things were.

I'm sure if the PS3 brought out an update that the exact same thing would happen. Besides, most of the bugs have been patched out already.

 

Well, they brought out an update for FIFA, which was a huge success :001_smile:

You know perfectly well I'm talking about a console update. Not everybody who has a PS3 plays FIFA.

Anyway PS3 updates as a whole have been pretty successful. I don't really like trophies because I think they are pointless, but I wouldn't like 360 achievements either, and I guess better there than not.

 

 

Also I like the chat system they put in for PS3. So like you can have big voice chats from PS3 friends in-game (soon to come), but you can have text chats now in-game kinda like Steam.....was the only real update where I have noticed much.........

how are they going to do the in game text chat? the only way that would seem sensible to use is if you have a texting thing, otherwise that seems like a pain in the ass.

 

i will admit i love the 8 person party chat in xbox :001_smile:.

 

but can someone tell me why they would stop at 8 and not do more? i know 8 seems like a lot but sometimes i play with more

Thats what I meant. As in you can be playing a game and then "tab out" and talk to people on your friends list. I'm not sure if you can do chat rooms of over 2 yet, and eventually voice chats aswell, all whilst ur in a game. They already have it outside of a game.

thats cool. i've never been a big fan of playstations, but they have some cool shit i wished xbox had. free online, wifi, etc.

Yeah people use cost as a reason to get a xbox, but when you consider how much it costs over the years, it ends up about the same.

lol yea it virtually ends up the same, plus you get more bang for your buck with a ps3, i think at least. but i just dont like the PS's, never have, i hate the controllers and i have only played 2 or 3 games i have actually enjoyed...GTA, crash bandicoot, and twisted metal black

1) XBL update=New windows vista?

 

2) There is really nothing wrong with it imo, its been out for less than a week, give it a damn chance ffs. Its pretty user friendly, I mean its not like substitute teaching for retarted kids.

 

3) The party system kicks ass. I don't have to jump in and out of private chats with people, and I can talk to my friends playing other games.

 

4) Avatars, something which is a blatant ripoff of the Mii's as Sol said. Cept Mii's don't get to wear metal shirts, or jeans, or have limbs for that matter. In my opinion, it's not there to kill hardcore gamers, its there if you want to use it, but it's designed for little kids who enjoy the idea of a Mii, but want to get a bit more in-depth.
