Don't dream about worthless shit - they'll be outdated anyhow in about a year and then you wonder where to scrap some money, again, to buy new computer.. Better buy all parts as separate and build your own, knowing you can upgrade it when needed.. Also, you don't need more than 4GB of RAM as so far even Win VISTA Fails to detect, or efficiently use more than that. Boys and their toys.. Jeez Link to comment
Zero001 Posted December 1, 2008 Content Count: 1230 Joined: 05/17/07 Status: Offline Share Posted December 1, 2008 I would rather have a 150gb hard drive and put the money saved on a terrabyte hard drive into something else! You would save what? $50 max by going with the 150GB HDD. I think the extra space is a nice investment. The pricing sweet spot is on 640GB-1TB HDD right now. Also, you don't need more than 4GB of RAM as so far even Win VISTA Fails to detect, or efficiently use more than that. Shens! Any decent 64bit OS can easily take advantage of the RAM available. Open up any rendering product and it'll use as much as you give it to work with. You can easily build it for less, but technology is an investment not worthless shit. If it'll help you achieve what you want then don't think twice about it. Things will always become outdated, but it doesn't mean you can't invest in it wisely. If you have the money, do what you want with it. Link to comment
