There are some names that should be banned from giving it to your child at birth. That is one.

In France, all names are sanctioned by the Government!!!!! Every name has to be picked from a list of "acceptable" names, in order to prevent teasing.

 

What if you wanted to name your girl "Nevaeh" like that rocker did, well in France you couldn't, because its not on the list.

 

How would you like that here in the US??? Not being able to give your kid a unique name.

Why can't words just be words anymore?

 

Every day it seems more and more words are added to the Politically Incorrect category, and only more will continue to appear.

 

For example, Obama's middle name is Hussein, and yes there was a bad man by the name of Hussein, but that doesnt mean that the name should be off limits forever. One person should not be able to ruin a name.

 

The same thing is true with Adolf Hitler. This name meant nothing before he was born, but now even speaking this name is illegal in some places, and the name has so many negative connotations that it will never able to again be just what it is, a name.

 

However, more on topic, their parents are complete idiots for not putting their kids first and thinking about their future. Seriously, why would you name your kid this knowing the consequences later in life.

 

And moreover, since the store is a private company I believe they have the right to "descriminate" (I know its a strong word for such a case of a dumbass name, but really, all they are doing is discriminating against a name because of its negative meaning, in the same way that blacks were descriminated against because their skin color and the negative things that were attached to that color, when really, all it was was a different color) against ANYONE THEY WANT.

 

Any private company should be able to serve WHOEVER THEY WANT. If someone wanted to open a whites only restaurant in my town i wouldn't have a problem with it because, first of all they are dumbasses for turning down minority business, and two, chances are whites wont eat there and the business will fail. (I know i would never eat at a place I knew was so racist). Nowadays major discrimination in business will almost surely cause a business to fail, so therefore if you want to discriminate go ahead, all you are gonna do is run your business into the ground.

 

Basically, so long as a business doesn't provide a vital to life service (Medicine, Water, Heat etc. most of which are government funded anyways, so they must not disriminate) they should be able to serve whomever they desire.

Board of Education, people, in fact, states, still did what they wanted. End all be all, government, as a rule, cannot discriminate based on those three categories without losing a serious law suit.

 

Private business discrimination is another matter, courts will generally hear cases and use certain tests to determine if the business, party, etc. can be prevented from discriminating in the fashion they choose to. It goes beyond just "losing minority business' getting sued for discrimination is essentially a civil rights law suit with damages waiting to happen (in regular people speak, this means the guy suing you will be inserting a large pineapple into your asshole AND taking your money.). In addition to the loss of money, and defending a likely lawsuit, its REALLY bad publicity, especially in places where liberal white america

feels it needs to continually apologize for what a minority of southern states did for a few centuries.

 

This isn't really about race though, its about a name, and there is no law preventing someone from not serving you, so long as the person is not explicitly doing so for race reasons (see above). This parent is completely fucked in the head, I'd call him a retard, but that would be an insult to the short bus. While a name SHOULD be just a name, many names carry stigmas that will forever damage the life of the bearer. How many Judas' do you know? How many Polpots, Stalins, or Osama Bin Ladens? How many Charlie Mansons are running around the playground? Not many, the reason is because such a name carries a social stigma which makes the person bearing said name suffer ostracizing in the community at large. Parents, currently or expecting, should consider this. Giving a child a hyperblack name has similar effects: the only Quandrashanka I have ever seen off maury has worked in the McDonalds, or the Flea Market body piercing booth, and she has 4 kids of her own with similar erstwhile names. While Adolf is a german male name, and perfectly reasonable, ADOLPH HITLER CAMPBELL is seriously asking for trouble, especially when your other children are named HINLER (HIMMLER, perhaps) and ARYAN NATION (seriously , didn't even TRY to hide it there). These names should NOT be illegal, but common sense should dictate that they are not to be used to avoid issues.

Last year, Italy prevented a set of parents from naming a child "Friday" in Italian, which I believe is "Venerdi". A pretty sounding name. The government thought the name was stupid, as did the church, and told the parents their kid would be named Tomas, since he had been born on the feast of St. Thomas. Extreme, in my view, but makes sense.

 

Here are a short list of names that the parents of the child should be shot for... feel free to add:

 

Anything starting with TI, TRI, TWA, or TAR, with more than 2 syllables in it and ending in a SHA, SKA, IA, YA, or O. Eg.

yea, there should be no rule on what you can and can not name your kid. however i strongly disagree that the store is "discriminating" against them. i guess if you want to get technical you could consider it "discrimination against discriminators". but because somebody came in and requested a cake for an "adolf hitler cambell" with previous requests of swazticas on it does not in anyway show that they discriminate, it shows they don't tolerate dumb ass racists. the fact the kid's name is adolf hitler ( not just adolf, but adolf hitler) just throws up red flags that the parents are either racist or just too stupid to get the meaning of that name. if the kids name was "rommel" i doubt that would have raised any suspicion.

 

if you were the store owner would you make a cake for an "osama bin laden" with a plane crashing into two towers? the name should not matter so much, but if they want racist / offensive images that should be enough incentive to not make it.
