I'm glad they chose that name, about someone stood up to cretins who'd jump on the PC bandwagon. All it does is make the critics look like imbeciles because they're stupid enough to illogically connect the idea that it's politically incorrect. Political correctness should die in a fire. Ya but you have to under stand it was not that long ago when hilter was in control Im 100 percent German and Im Not saying that the people are rasict or anything but. With a name Adolf Hilter 1st he would be hated by the Jewish community and it would just be plan out hard being well a kid teachers not likeing you and everyone judgeing you because your name is adolf hilter it just isnt fair for the kid. Omar Posted December 17, 2008 Content Count: 2994 Joined: 03/06/08 Status: Offline Share Posted December 17, 2008 MY 2 cents, Well, I'd have to say that parents can name their kid anything they want. Though what so ever they should consider the consiquences on his social life, especially a name like Adolf Hitler, i would say that Adolf is ok but Adolf Hitler isn't. The store had full right to refuse their request since they were a private company even if the name was Bob. Though in my other opinion, the parents is idiots and i feel sorry for the kid. lol, the jewish kids would beat him so hard and bully him... I mean yes, you are free to name your kid anything but in my opinion it seems abusive to name a kid such offensive name. The cake was a lie.:dance: Link to comment
LegalSmash Posted December 17, 2008 Content Count: 2936 Joined: 02/04/08 Status: Offline Share Posted December 17, 2008 Why should he be prejudiced against because of his name? There's not a clause in human rights that says they're exempt if you're named after someone bad. Sorry, but get over it. That child has done absolutely nothing nor its parents. Just because Hitler is dead doesn't mean people have to take judgement out on people that are alive named similarly to him. Should and Is are two different premises though. Link to comment

Even if he was just called Adolf or Hitler, it would spark contrevercy with some... Think of all the other names which could be associated with someone "bad". If someone was called Osama or Saddam, would anyone dare oppose it??? I can see the burn "X" (the person to say foul about it) signs and riots marching.. Link to comment

Jupina Posted December 17, 2008 Content Count: 228 Joined: 11/27/07 Status: Offline Share Posted December 17, 2008 What's sad to me is that the parents are not thinking about their children. Crap-assed long names that have a negative connotation and trying to get press about it by causing problems. If they wanted the name on the cake, they could have written it themselves. If there were some test to decide who can and can not reproduce, who is to say what is on that test? Everyone has their own views on what is acceptable and right for the development of society, and (in America) that right is partially protected. Link to comment
