Ram Upgrade?

Im about to go and order some ram for my laptop so i can take it from 2gb to 3gb, but im a noob at this kind of stuff so, anyone tell me which ram i require? I need to buy a 2gb ram piece.

you have 2 available slots, I presume there both filled with 1GB sticks. Maybe only one is used with a 2GB stick..

Well it says my max is 4gb, but Ive been reading and a few people are getting BSOD errors when they put all 4gb in, when the drop it down to 3gb then it works fine. So ill try buying a 2gb one and leave a 1gb slot in.

First check what you have in your laptop now, you don't want to buy 2x2GB and then realise you have a 2GB stick in there already!

 

Money has to stretch when your in Uni!!!

There both 1 x 1gb. I just ordered 1 x 2gb stick for now.

Paul on crucial.com there a program that searchs your comp and tells you you have and what they recommend.
