I dont see why you care so much about XP, Im not a high tech pro but I have talked to a few very qualified guys that said Vista (as of now) has everything XP has and more... especially when you get into programing and such..

So for what you wanna do just get vista and be done with it works great, you wont regret it unless you just dont want to get familiarized with newer stuff..

I know some people dont like just because it different they dont even look at the actual product..

Yeah, for the OS, go with Vista 64 bit. It had a bad reputation for unstable drivers when it first came out, but it's 3 years and two SP's later and it's actually a very usable and stable OS. It might take a little bit of adjusting if you've only ever used XP, but its still Windows and Windows 7 which is coming out next year has a lot in common with Vista, so its worth adjusting to.

Actually, I can go either way with the 64 bit, just as long as I know it can get the job done. The only reason why XP 64 may have stayed in my "interest zone" was because as stated in my previous posts, I still have a copy collecting dust on my shelves. I like to save money just as much as the next and an OS usually costs just as much, or more, than the most expensive piece of hardware in my build.

Also, while I do enjoy your enthusiasm, I said before, I prefer first hand experience over second or third hand opinions. We all got that one or two high tech level "guys" and can read reviews. I tend to get bored easily and that sort of thing can be fixed with an extra stick of RAM. I have no problem sitting back and checking out new things. Actually, you just reminded me of one of the reasons why I even bothered to look at Vista and now people couldn't pay me not to use it.

I forgot that one of my cousins used Vista 32 and I have to say, I certainly liked it myself eve if it was just a glance. It was actually quite use friendly in my opinion and looked sound. I didn't even bother to think about Windows 7, but it makes enough sense to definentally get a bit familiar with Vista because of it. There's no doubt in my mind I will be moving into it sooner or later, even if it is a bit later. I am a bit slower when it comes to finding that comfort zone so Vista 64 should be a descent step. Thanks guys, OS secure!

I won't be using SLI/crossfire so that particular downside of the case won't affect me greatly. I do hesitate slightly when I heard about the "blowing hot air" comment PotShot. I have been taking a look at the case and there is a fairly large vent on the side located toward the rear. I wonder if this is one of the designs to help sidestep this problem? If not, couldn't a well places fan in the side be able to re-direct enough air to keep it cool?

Oh yeah I forgot. It extremely noobisha nd imma look it up now but, Modular PSU? Could you explain a little about the benefits?

This was the MOBO I was originally looking at - ASRock A780GXE/128M AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G ATX AMD Motherboard /// http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157139 think this would fit better with the build?

And here are some modular PSU I was checking out -

1. RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152036

2. SILVERSTONE ST75F 750W ATX : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256009

3. XION Supernova XON-800R14N 800W : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817190016

They most likely aren't the best but I am also trying to stick around a budget if possible. Tell me what you think of these or post any better picks/suggestions.
