i find fault with the flamers, not the people who decide to "come out of the closet"

still, i don't think it's right for people not to understand that they should be tolerant with other people's intolerance actually where am i going with this it's too late at night i'm going to bed

No one is talking about tolerance here, its a matter of avoiding starting flamewars because you decide to flaunt your deviances in an open public forum. People get all butthurt because they say something about their own sick and twisted interests which results in pretty much everyone save beth and LVG saying WTF DIAF, and they become upset about it.

 

To solve the problem, people should keep their "issues" (To put it nicely) to themselves, or communicate them via PM in order to avoid issues with other people who find their fetishes/interests/predelictions to be cause for internment into a sterilization program and mental facility.

 

Lastly, the flames did not start until the initial people that proffered the idea get all butt-hurt about their ideas being dismissed as sick, twisted, or otherwise horrible, and they insult the general population, which in turn, retaliate, or one of the gen. pop is sufficiently disgusted to make an issue of the whole thing.

 

In the end, we have people on this forum who visit it at work, who have kids, and who may be in a position to lose a job, seem like a sick fuck, etc. because a few deviant people decide to flaunt their shortcomings. The forum needs to stay relatively clean. An NSFW label may work in a thread, but will not work on a posters sig, or his commentary PAST the initial post which is NOT labeled nsfw.

 

In the end, we have a private message system to allow people to rely messages back and forth, and those messages can be as uncensored as you want, but that which is readily available to the average person without a login that may come upon the site should stay as close to decent as possible for the well being and economic and social safety of our many visitors.
