Oh god... That is perfect. Well, looks like the US is going to have to declare war on Newfoundland and the rest of Canada unless the country diverts their course 15 degrees so that the US Lincoln can pass.

 

I wonder what happened with that issue, or if they're still out there arguing...

Well, that lighthouse joke is very old and I have seen it in many variations of between the countries ranging from Canada to US, US to British, British to US, British to Irish, etc. Don't know what the true story of the joke is (if there is one). Would like to know the true participants in it. :ohmy:

Well, it seems to be false, it's a joke that dates back all the way to 1937 :d

The real incident did occur off the coast of newfoundland, but i think it was a british lighthouse or something. But it defiantly didn't occur that soon. Sometime in the 40's I heard.
