London New Years parade, 2010

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Louise Hyams, has officially invited my high school to be in the London New Years Parade of 2010. You'd see me in the "Red & Silver Brigade" (marching band, Blue Valley West). There are only two American high schools invited each year, so this was a big deal all around. Shook hands with her not but 30 minutes ago from this moment.

 

I'll be there ~4 days before and ~3 days after the parade. During this time, I can actually be "with" a "trustworthy" person of age 18+ during those days before/after.

 

Who should I stay with?

Went to the New Years fireworks display last year and.........the dam smoke from the first few blocked the rest of the display (although I was about half a mile away).

 

As much as I'd like to host your stay, its New Years!!! Its the time where family are always arond and I'm always out so sorry to disappoint Avro

Its not my city, its the capital, im merley giving my views on the place from experience of being down there, and its terrible Full of scallys (Chavs)

London is ok for a tourist....you can get a few good days out of it, if your lost for some ideas I could give you some.

London is a great place to be, Central London that is; not the suburbs that surround it as it's rife with gangs / knife culture.

 

Watch out for pick-pockets on the underground.
