So success is now based on how much work you put into it rather than what was done?

Sweet! Now I can sell my Asscakes to certain SG members and they'll buy them because I worked so hard on them! :whoo:

Who said Garfield wasn't doing any work at all? Who said they were ungrateful of him?

Stop making up excuses. We are not saying Garfield is doing a bad job, just that some changes he made were, in our opinions, not good for SG. If you can't take a dissenting opinion, then don't put yourself in a place to offer your own.

Excuses huh?

Well, Ever since people make changes to the forum, there are always people that are complaining about stuff, Like: ''MEEEH WHY ISNT THIS DONE YET MEEH I WANT MY USERBAR MEEEEEEEEH''

That's what I call ungrateful

Then the same goes for all of them for what I said before. I hope I don't get "You are ungrateful for what work [insert Officer's Name Here] has done!"

Then single out those people who complained about having a userbar instead of lumping them with the people who actually wanted to know what happened to posting, privileges, informing people of what was going on, etc.

The complaining and bitching is very subtle, but its there if its there. I think I am right in saying that some people who have been a part of this community for a long time feel like they are being shafted. There is a pretty big jump of privileges and bonuses/rewards from being an Honourable Gamer(now removed I think) to a supporter.

Honourable gamer was nothing more than a title, a feel-good reward for staying with the community so long, and now many feel that about 75% of the non-paying members are SG.Regs now. They want to feel unique, but cannot as the forums limits them to a specific group of people which they share with many other people. There weren't as many people of the Honourable Gamer status back before the change.

The mentality most people have now, is why not have just about everyone who registers become a regular? I mean, it is that easy. My opinion is Honourable Gamer, and SG Regular should be seperate. I know I will probably never reach that status, but the people who have been with us for so long should not be put in the same category as the people who just play alot on the servers because of the entertainment, while ignoring the beauty of the community.

I could be missing something here, but Reg and HG are not the same thing. And do not look the same. HG is still the same thing it was before it got deleted but with a new color.

And I think most of the complaints from the HG was because their class did not get setup right. Allot of changes were made to the whole site and when it came to setting the HG class back up some things did not get checked that should have been.

That has now been taken care of. Well maybe there is a few things left to tweak. This all takes time to iron out. People just need to know that nothing can ever stay the same if we are going to grow as a community. And yes we need to work harder on communicating the changes that are going to be made. I was not even aware of the changes until it happened.

So the take away from this post is to roll with the changes and learn to grow with the community, and to give the changes time to iron out to where everything is working at 100% again. Try not to cry about every lil thing. And if you do have a issue please PM a BD or AO and do not make a drama fest in the pub eye over something,

My post was pointed to people that complained about all the stuff that someone has done, without eving coming up with an idea, Just posting like ''MEEEH I WUN IT BACK''

It wasnt ment to the people that were helping others or were just asking...

QFT!!

but still, this is making no progress. its all going back and forth and nowhere at all. some people will keep bitching about every little thing they dont like. its anohter QQ thread and tbh there has been enough.

changes have been made, learn to live with it!

Garfield I'm sure everyone appreciates the hard work you and all the admins, AO's BO's, CA's etc. are putting in to the community. Just from my view I think people were griping because changes were happening without any info on what was being changed and why, some of those gripes turned in to flames. Probably just a simple headsup would have quelled a lot of it.

The Community has grown exponentially recently which is showing SG is doing something right. :amuse:
