how to enable regedit

how do i enable regedit

Type this into your run box. Might have to restart your computer for it to work.

 

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

 

If it still doesn't work, it's likely that you have some sort of virus or malware/spyware disabling access to regedit.

 

EDIT: I have no clue why the forums are putting a space in the word Policies but it's not supposed to be there.

ill go with virus etc, because unless you disable it somehow yourself (not saying its not possible, but why would you?) its not going to not work
