Rare cases just plain re-pluggin works but pretty much your soundcard either has a conflict with the plug recognition or some settings. Myself I had problem with the Background Noise Cancellation and next moment I had accidentally muted "recording device, mic" when I was suppose to do it via playback device Link to comment

I had done everything I could think of, and then Avro pointed me in the direction of "Mute Microphone" at the bottom of Vent and.......it was ticked...... Link to comment
