Mainly, because of the price. The E8400 is gonna cost me about 250$CAD and is a CPU that can be easily overclocked (And its a good CPU also) the cheaped i7 on newegg.ca is 359,99 on newegg.ca and if I go with a i7, I'm going to go with a socket 1366 mobo wich is gonna cost about over 400$CAD for anything decent.On top of that with a 1366 mobo you have to buy DDR3 RAM with cost way more than DDR2 right now. Also, this is gonna be my first built and I think its gonna be pretty decent, of course its using somewhat older part,but I think its gonna do just fine (Especialy if i get the money to go 3-way sli) What do you think ?
