They must use the same equipment for the shape or something. M&M's have the M on them, and I'm pretty sure they're slightly bigger than Skittles. Actually, thinking about it, Skittles probably are a bit smaller. Off-topic, but I once wrote a letter to General Mills asking them how they get the gooey stuff inside of a gusher.
