Possibly a silly suggestion but are you sure you've enabled the console? By default you have to go into your options and enable the console for it to even open.

well the pic should be wrong, i was talking about KF.

 

if that worked, nvm if it didn't add the launch param -console and C+P no quote "bind ` console" i think thats the cmd.

bind "\" "toggleconsole"

since that what i got in my config

what you have is the original bind as far as i remember
