steam not updating

does steam not update for any1 else? i get on and it says steam updating then after a while it says cant connect, check status of steam, im not logged in.

delete your clientregistry.blob then restart it.

i deleted it and double clicked i con it pops up as saying steam updating and it does this till i get error message. how do i restart it if im not logged in?

Go to task manager then end process steam.exe.... (?)

go to start>run>ragequit.exe should solve your problem

i dont have a run option... vista fail

 

on a side not? how do i uninstall steam? and does it save games? or do i have to re download them?

1. yes you do, its called windows + r, that or im sure there's an option to make it show up on your task bar

 

2. you would have to back up your games yourself.

my steam is still not updating...

Open your steam folder, delete clientregistry.blob and and other files steam complained about or just delete everything except steam.exe and steamapps folder. Launch and it will update and should work.
