Itch Posted June 8, 2009 Content Count: 3440 Joined: 12/12/07 Status: Offline Share Posted June 8, 2009 Eragon was tripe.. I don't know what's wrong with kids these days.. but they read a hack job of a fantasy novel that pirates from every other fantasy writer and they suck it up like it's pure honey! The only reason it was published was because Mom & Dad were Editor/Publisher. /old man rant Honestly there are so many better fantasy novels than Eragon. As far as Fav Books are concerned.. there are sooo many.. Fantasy: Wheel Of Time Series - Robert Joran (will be finished by Brandon Sanderson R.I.P RJ) The Belgariad Series - David Eddings Mistborn - Brandon Sanderson Science Fiction: Anything by Ben Bova (he's oldschool) Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card OtherLand - Tad Williams I also love reading Historical text as well as Historical Fiction. As for my Favorite Historical Fiction... German Brothers in a Foreign Land - Itch Co-Author Yes I guess I'm a little biased... It was small publishing and is no longer available... but I enjoyed the research/writing. Vampire Novel: Sorry but the Twilight series is all build up and no real action.. They Thirst - Robert McCammon I could go on.. and if anyone wants to start a book club where we read/discuss I would definitely participate. Link to comment
