It will just shoot once. This will happen also with my knife sometimes. I also find some mouse controls harder on forums, like copy and pasting. Link to comment

Either a) The wire is fucked b) The USB or PS/2 port/slot is fucked c) one of the parts in your mouse is jammed. Link to comment

You can try to take it apart (usually 1-3 screws) and checking out the mouse buttons. A Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol can be used to clean it as the alcohol will evaporate and not cause any harm. Your best bet is to get a new mouse. I recommend the Logitech MX518. Link to comment
