Demos?

Hi folks

I would like to know how do I read demos I recorded on CS:S... Whe N I double click it, nothing happens....

WHat do I do?

If you want to play back a demo you type play (name of demo here)

First you need to place the .dem file in your cstrike.

 

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\~yourname~\counter-strike source\cstrike\

 

Once the .dem is placed in your cstrike folder, go into Counter Strike Source,open Console, then type "PlayDemo "

 

If you don't have Console enabled, go into your options>Keyboard>advanced then Enable Developer Console

The easiet way to do it without going into consol would be to press shift 2 then all little thing will pop up, click load and find the demo.

But how do I get the Steam_ID of a player ingame (I guess it with console)

You can't get their SteamID from Demo, unless the recorder types status.

 

 

In a server, you can type "Status" In console, then list of ALL active players with their steamID will appear.
