Whenever someone I talk in ventrilo and have music playing or someone else talks at the same time it echos EXTREMLY loudly. Already tried pretty much everything I could think of. The thing is even when my mic is unplugged or muted it echos. Suggestions." SOLANUM: Basically whatever plays through my headphones echos through my mic. SOLANUM: Somehow. Link to comment

Like ear buds. That would cause a reverb... but, if it unplugged that doesn't make any sense... maybe he has a bad case of tinnitus? It sounds like either a sound card problem, or someone on Vent is being a jerk. Link to comment

That is a GREAT solution. That would make sense. Damn you Creative for your innovative products! Link to comment
Guy Posted June 30, 2009 Content Count: 166 Joined: 06/16/09 Status: Offline Share Posted June 30, 2009 Check the "playback devices" audio levels. make *SURE* you *MUTE* the mic and line in volumes. if they are not in this list, add them in properties, and then mute them. you want to have only one unmuted in the "recording devices" volume page.
