I happen to also have an 8gb Zune, and it is good, haven't had an Ipod before but I know that everyone I know who has had an Ipod has had like 4 because they break all the time, Zunes have metal and I'm guessing are better quality than the over-hyped cousin the Ipod.

I must agree that Zune are durable. I have never seen or heard of a broken Zune. I have broken like 10 iPods to date. I have a iTouch now, which gives me a bigger chance of a broken iPod because every time I break an iPod, it's the screen cracking.

iTunes is a horrendous application and I refuse to use it ever again. I used it when my brother got an iPod for Christmas and I was appauled within 5 minutes of running iTunes. I haven't touched iTunes since then(which is a good three or four years mind you), so I don't remember a lot and maybe Apple has gotten their shit together since then. Adding files to a library, putting them into a playlist, syncing the device to iTunes, all of this stupid bullshit over the simple act of listening to music on a portable device. I wasn't thrilled to see iTunes converting every MP3 I wanted to put into the iPod into an AAC file either, what the fuck is the point of that? If that's a setting that's changable, why the fuck is/was that the default? Digital music management should not be a hobby I have to take up in order to listen to music on a portable device.

Your right, being able to personalize your MP3 player is such a hassle, I'd rather they just throw every song in there together.

Don't you have to sync your Zune too? I don't know how your music is just going to magically get onto the MP3 without syncing it....

Maybe they like to drag and drop, and are to noobish to realize you can do the same with itunes if you disable sync.

I currently have a Zune 80GB and I love it, the battery life is amazing, I usually get about 20hours+ listening to music.

I'll be getting a Zune HD this fall, touch screen, NVIDIA Tegra processor, internet browser, integration with XBL Marketplace. I'm in. lol.

Maybe you have 2 left hands thats why...I never broke an Ipod...Ive had one since january 05 I replaced that one 2 years ago cause it got stlen and was 2 years old and in perfect conditions... the one I have now works great!

the only down side of Ipod is its battery life and complicated process to replace it and the price...plus by the time you wont to get a new one the new gen. is out so they dont make it anymore..but mine still works great

iPod has a full browser as well, since most of us aren't 10 years old, we don't care about kiddie consoles, but the iPod has the App Store, plus it has the added effect of not being laughed at for carrying a Microsoft product around.
