In a word .. yes..

 

In multiple words.. Due to cost of support (lack of decent hardware warranty/warranty support) Lack of software compatibility - (and don't give me that bootcamp/parallels shite.. because in that case you are paying for a Windows OS license and running Windows anyway!) You can also dual boot a pc with linux if you want a real OS. OSX is just Apples way of branding their own flavor of Linux anyway!

 

I have been supporting faculty/staff/student computers on a large scale at a University for almost 10 years now. Apples support, warranty, pricing, software compatability, etc.. has been sub standard the whole damn time.. Every year we get a few users that demand apple computers and guess what.. every time we spend more time/money/effort supporting those few macs than we do supporting properly configured PC's.

 

Back to topic... As for Zune vs. Ipod... Neither.. I like my Sansa, it's cheap reliable and does what I need it to. I would probably set it aside for an iPhone although due to years of frustration with Apple in general I am morally opposed to giving them my business.
