I didn't see anything of his until the day he died and they ran segments of his stuff on TV, and I went straight to Youtube to look for some more. The guy is unbelievable. I think my favorite bit of his is the one on soft language, which to this day makes me cringe when I hear a commercial referring to a doctor as a healthcare professional. I can't seem to find the stage version of that bit on Youtube which is a lot more exciting, but the book version is there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOnjEF3RG5A (embedding disabled) This is one of my favorites as well and I bust out laughing every time I see one of those bumper stickers on a car because of this. The thing you fail to realize is that the comedians that you listed all idolized and patterned themselves after Carlin in one way or another.. He was definitely one of the best. Link to comment
