Is it compulsory to have a mic as CT

A good CT team will relay orders given by others in text. For example, if Runaway types 'Everyone to soccer, no delays, no detours.' I will probably say, on mic, 'Yes, go to soccer you little bastards.' Though this does not happen all of the time, it happens enough so that typed orders are normally relayed. Also, if a CT doesn't relay it then a T usually will when someone asks 'Where are we going?'

 

My only problem is conflicting orders, especially when another CT wants to go to a specific area and clear out any weapons first. The CT team as a whole will just need to work on it and improve their communication or they'll end up dead.

My policy is if alot of people are ending up dead due to miscommunication (mic and text orders from different CTs) I will try my best to sort things out, possibly recommending that only the CTs with mics give orders from then on out. If people are still getting confused and ending up dead, I will ask that particular CT to stop giving typed orders unless no other CT with a mic is alive, or move them to be T.

 

Note: This can be hard to manage, as some Ts are intentionally causing chaos (as part of the game) and some really are not getting things straight between text and mics. In the end though, above all, CTs having a mic is still not mandatory.

agreed it does help to have a mic.. but typed commands are just as important... for example quote is probably the best CT with typed commands...

Yea just learn to read....i hate when people go "Well i didn't see it so its not my fault". It IS your fault if you're paying attention to the chatbox, so suck it up and fucken read, its not that challenging to do.

Learn to read... There's nothing wrong with typing; it's actually better. You wont have little 9 year olds screaming orders.
